Now that I think about it, 23 Envelope was very influential in my choosing graphic design as a career 10 years after this documentary. It was with their work on the 4AD album art that I began appreciating graphic design.

Elizabeth Fraser and Robin Guthrie display vapidity in their language. It would have been better to edit out their interview. Their music is among the best ever recorded! But their apearence in the documentary should have been limited to musical performances because they lack the ability to express themselves in words.

I so massively enjoyed watching this. 23E's work is off the scale. As is watching Vaughan and Nige not crack up

What is robins problem? So disrespectful and rude about Liz. He knows what he did, and knowing Liz’ speaking/singing condition, it’s clear he has no respect or boundary for what to say. What a bastard.

I read that Liz often got stage fright which adversely affected her vocals.

Those CT sleeves were quite unique and beautiful. In particular, the abstract, blurry layers and effects perfectly mirrored the sound of the band.

In fact, I was assigned w/ three other students) to the worst of the worst 'houses' - the forensically insane. Half the people in that 'house' lovingly dubbed 'the snake pit' were not as bad off as these poor dudes.

Even with the poor audio stripping this performance to a bass and some overlays, Liz's voice still sounds like she is heralding some great event.
