We are often striving for perfection, and I am guilty of this myself. There’s so much pressure we put on ourselves to succeed and accomplish what we believe God has put on our hearts to do. When we come up short it can be devastating and even lead to depression, self-hatred, negative self-talk and an overall lack of motivation to strive for milestones and goals again. But Jesus showed me recently to just do the best I can and step back and let God work the rest out. I have to be willing to let go of the things I can’t control.
