Great idea, well done.

I'd heard many years ago there was a video of Greenhills and liprivick castle filmed my the local history group. I asked in the library at the Greenhills square and the lady told me it was only available on VHS but I could have it for free and transfer to CD if I liked. I just left it cause I had no idea how to do it but not I'm so glad it's on here. I currently live in Sandpiper and lived in Greenhills for 18years coming from the Calderwood. Love local history and history in general, great production.😊 ❤😊

The ""golf club"" Is currently closed Lots of ""golf"" courses around Greenhills 😏 And natural underground "fresh" (drinking) water springs 😆 And ya say Lickprivick Quarry Doesn't appears on any maps 🗺 .. Hoooow strange🤔😏🫢 😂

Very interesting. My dad got a job in EK (Scot O' Bletchley) and we moved into a brand new house in Elm Place in Sept 1974, on my 6th birthday. Went to Greenhills Primary, then Ballerup High for one month before my dad's new job took us to Johnstone in Renfrewshire in Sept 1980.

This is an amazing production. Coming from Glasgow I used to stay at Greenhills for my summer holidays, in the country early 70s, at my auntie's. Me and my cousins used play on the fields where now Morrisons is and at the area where Lindsayfield posh estate is now, such great memories. Thanks for this great informative show. More please.

1:10 i lived just down from that water tower at 7 Beechgrove, went to South Park primary before moving to Anderson Court and Claremont High School, the 80's and 90's were amazing....

Fascinating documentary. We lived in Cedar Drive and then Sycamore Court. When we moved ito Sycamore was just before I started school, so it was the place i grew up. This week (September 2023) I was due to go the the Alistair McCoist Sports centre (my old high school) for my first flu vaccination. I got off the bus at the Greenhills shops (they've really changed). Walking past my old home in Cedar and Sycamore past the spar it was like I was back in time. I always remember the area being busy and noisy, but it was so quiet. Saw my old home in Sycamore getting new gas pipes! I had a lot of friends in that area. Some I am still in touch with. We did move again to Newlandsmuir which felt like the middle of nowhere. The houses were nice inside. Sycamore was my favourite house.

Moved into pine crescent as a baby from calderwood, moved to Newlandsmuir, new houses behind teal crescent when I was about 8, went to St Vincent's and St Andrews. Now live in the calderwood but still have my dentist at the greenhills Square, loved taking my daughters up to the High Point where we used to go sledging. Great informative video thanks
