Trek Marlin+ 8 Review | The Best Value Trek MTB?
zhlédnutí 1,4KPřed 28 dny
The Trek Marlin 8 might not be 'cheap' but in the world of electric mountain bikes it represents incredible value with name brand components from the likes of Shimano & Rockshox. If you are looking for a hardtail MTB with electric assist at a much more affordable price than something like a Fuel EXe or a Rail then the Marlin is a great choice. It's perfect for handling everything from canal pat...
Trek Madone SL 6 Gen 7 Overview | The FASTEST Road Bike Just Got More Affordable!
zhlédnutí 1,3KPřed měsícem
Trek's fastest road bike just got more affordable... The new Madone SL 6 shares many of the same features of its bigger brother the Madone SLR but at a huge cost saving thanks to a 500 Series OCLV Carbon frame rather than the 800 series found on the SLR. Although the weight penalty of this more affordable carbon frame is tiny the cost savings are huge with the Madone SL6 coming in at £5625! Wit...

Last year a trail has opened not far away from me, it looks similar to this but man does it go down steep. I have a Hardtail bike and my question is, how do I lose my fear of a jump and how should I place my feet on the pedals without missing them when I land?
So isn’t the rail good for parks as well? Or you just prefer the feel on the slash?
85 not 75 ;)
OK mate! Yer hat's on back-to-front! 😜
It keeps doing that for some reason.... Stupid hat 😒
I bought the original one (carbon) with the sliding dropouts, with the plan to one day turn it into a mean SS, however it's such a great gravel bike that I haven't had any desire to replace it, so I can see many more years of it doing gravel duty and I already have a SS but great to see what you have done with yours.
Yeah they are ace bikes! i would have a few different flavours if I had the space / money 😅
Sam that looks awesome how much to build one up like yours?
Thanks dude! I t probably cost me about £2000 to build mine up. It's for sale for £1200 if you're interested? 🙂
What size frame
It's a 56cm mate 👍
trek trekpoint
Let's trek out these trek trekpoints 🤔😅
Jetzt dachte ich du mixt die einzelnen Geräusche zu einem Song zusammen 😂
Wenn ich die Fähigkeiten und die Zeit hätte, würde ich das tun! 😅
Ahh Sam, you've done it again.... What a well thought out, funny, yet informative video you have made. Big thumbs up AND high 5ive from me 👍 🤚
😂😂😂
hello i have a question can I install a 750WH battery in this bike??? thanks
Can Ihave this one for free😅🚴❤️
Fire bike ❤
Gimmi £400 and an old bike frame ill build a better one.
Thanks for the comment dude! I have an old frame and £400 ready for you at the shop. Let's make a challenge out of it... We'll film you building the frame with the budget, then we'll race them and see which one is better 👌 What do you say? 😁
@@samuelfillan6257 sounds like a plan.
@@samuelfillan6257 in all seriousness mate, it is a nice bike.
Thanks dude 😁 If you're ever in Wakefield, come and say hi 👋 😎
Fun review--you can really throw that bike around! Something I aspire to be able to do....
Thanks for the support dude! Is just practice man, you'll get there if you keep at it :)
@@cycletechnology Thanks for the encouragement! (But, for the record, I'm a dudette! 🙂 )

PERFECT THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR 🎼🎼🎼🎼
I would consider if this was full suspension for 3k!
A full Sus E-bike for 3K would be lame 👎🫠
I have this bike as does my wife and you are spot on with everything you’ve said about this bike
Thanks dude!
definitly not freeride for life yolo
Yeah bro 🤙😎
🎼 💪
Nice tune 🎶
Another sponsored mong
you know you're watching a bike shop's youtube channel, right?
Hello plez. 👋 I am mong. Plez don't call people mong. Is not nice. Bye 👋
Yes
I buy this bike please what is a price 😊❤❤
It's £7070 new. I'm selling it for £4,500 with 350 miles on the clock 👌 let us know if you are interested 😁
Bro is a paid actor
Bro gets it 👌😅
Great idea 😂😂 If your battery die you can't even shift toget home 😂😂😂😂
Not right unfortunately dude. The E-bike battery keeps enough charge spare for 300 shifts after it stops providing power to the motor 👍
Wtf is that mudguard?
You leave my mudguard alone! 😅
@@samuelfillan6257 no i actually like it, it looks horrifying lol
Thanks dude! 😅
Where can i get it? 🤔 @@samuelfillan6257

What a great real world comparison, I've been watching many reviews lately, but you guys really put it together demonstrating a great comparison.
Thanks for the awrsome feedback! Glad you likes the video!

Just buy a soloist
No... You buy a Soloist 😅👋
Also, Soloist doesn’t have any place to store my snacks 🤦
what's a soloist?

Those bikes are ugly.
🤣
Why do you make a rear derailleur bigger and more exposed and heavier when the effort is the opposite😳
Ask Sram ;)
@@cycletechnology No need. I have SRAM XX1 on my Specialized Enduro and Epic (wonderful stuff), but switched 5 years ago to Shimano which I thought had "nicer" shifters and short cage. Now I ride Shimano XTR short cage 10-45T as I started building/rebuilding my last 4 EMTB😉
We love Shimano too as a rule. This T-type is good though I swear 👌
Great video. Keep it up. Greetings from the Czech Republic. 👍
Thanks XLbiker. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thanks, I think the DJI footage looks great, better than the GoPro indeed. I love the DB8 breaks too. They are great, no complaints. I had to change brake fluid in front and brake pads wear quickly. Luckily they are Sram most common type and easy to find :-) It's easy for me to relate your feelings after ride. Great summary! With a manual bike I'm half dead after ride :-)
Thanks for the positive comments dude! The DJI is great and at a much better price point! Maybe looking at a drone to follow me around soon! 😁
Thanks! What a great bike and review. Mark the chainring locking with a white marking pen or something. Make a line so you will see when the locking gets loose. The line gets separated if moving. Protect the lower pivot with some kind of flap. Bearings are pretty much unprotected. BTW I ride the Rail 7 :-)
Great advice! thanks :) Always on the lookout for handy tips like this!
Can i ask what does it do😅
Sure! It's an electronic, wirelessley controlled, rear derailleur. It changes the gears on this mountain bike 👌😁
@@samuelfillan6257bro this is the wired version
Makes the bike turn to the right more easily, due to gravity😅, why do you make a rear derailleur bigger and more exposed and heavier when the effort is the opposite🤔
@@kentnilsson9757 haha
"Honey, why is there -£6000 on the debit card bill?" 😅
Never you mind about that dear 😳😅
Thanks mate! Great video, subscribed!
Thanks for the support dude! Subscribe has been reciprocated :)
great vid! Any particular reason you went with the alu version and gx axs t-type over carbon xt or gx axs? I'd kinda setup my bike similar in terms of suspension, since I have a bmx background and like to hit jumps. Currently trying to decide whether to go with the 'new' alu EXe 8 GX AXS T-Type or take the EXe 9.8 GX AXS which is cheaper then the alu version atm. Also kinda curious, did you adjust the wheel circumference in the motor firmware? cheers & happy easter from germany :).
Thanks for the comment dude! I chose the Alu version for 2 reasons: 1. Because I snapped a carbon Rail so don't trust carbon as much and 2. I really wanted to check out the AXS T-type after hearing so many good things! (it is an amazing shifting experience!) I didn't change the wheel circumference on the TQ diagnostic tool software because according to TQ (at the time) there is no option to do that - there is a small speed penalty as a result but I didn't notice it TBH Happy after easter from the UK :)
Hows the battery rattle grab one when the price falls out almost ay the nukeproof situation
You can hear it a bit on the rocky section at 6.08 but I didn't notice it when I was actually riding 👌
Why?😂
For fun? 🙂

I am bride?
The clear winner was the Rail. They were just praising the EXe to be polite. lol. I ordered a silver Rail 7 today!!
We were impressed with all the bikes honestly but for all round fun, up and down, yeah.. the Rail can't be beaten 👌 I own a Fuel EXe personally because I'm not ready to let all the work be done by the motor just yet (give me another 10 years) 😅
100% right... I ordered rail 9.7 last week... Waiting for him
@@drahoslavhorvath , AWESOME! I got mine today and already love it
