If we understand Jesus' statement "I and the Father are one" in John 10:30 to mean that Jesus is God himself, that would seem to contradict John 14:28, where Jesus says, "The Father is greater than I am." It would also seem to contradict John 20:17, where Jesus tells Mary, "I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God." The context shows that Jesus was talking about his unity of purpose with God the Father. This unity of purpose extended to his followers. In John 17:22, Jesus prayed to God saying, "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one." Obviously, Jesus did not mean that his followers were of the same essence or substance. When the Jews picked up stones to stone Jesus, he replied "Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?" The Jews were making false accusations. Jesus only claimed to be God's Son.

Pastor, thank you for your knowledge. When I am in the car I always listen to Christian radio. I know that many of the pastors have different beliefs. My expectation of peace is fulfilled when I hear the message and participate in worship at St. Matthews. I was surprised that Noah did not know what rain was and that he had a grandfather who had known Adam and Eve. My heart is sore with the troubles in this country. The Lord has so blessed us as a nation. Other than voting there is nothing I can do. My expectation for the country is that God will return us to a Christian nation. Help me to respond with kindness when my beliefs are challenged and enable me speak up when the Lord wills it. I pray Christmas focuses on Christ. I look forward to being with my family whose members are scattered throughout the nation. Bless St. Matthews, Lord.

While I appreciate the spirit of this message, Pastor...if not now, when? In a week or two? By then, passions will have cooled enough that those who seek gun control won't feel the need to fight for it, while those who oppose it will feel no moral pressure to at least look for a solution. Since Sandy Hook, there have over 3,500 mass shootings in this country. After each of them, someone said, "Now isn't the time". What this boils down to is that there's never a time, never a way to have this discussion. Without the immediacy of tragedy and the clamor of voices raised in outrage, the powers-that-be see no need to make changes that might have political consequences, because in DC, lives matter less than votes. Two days ago, two teachers gave their lives to protect their students, making the ultimate sacrifice. By asking everyone to remain silent, I believe we're offering the ultimate disrespect to that heroic act, by refusing to use it to enable meaningful discourse and conversation. This is just my opinion, but it hurts my heart to know that people would rather remain silent than simply stand up and say, "We want something done, and we want it now."

I believe it's many different written manuscripts matching each other's stories detailing their origins. They were all saying the same thing. I could be wrong. But I have no reason to believe that these people were making it up for fun. I believe them! Check out Frank Turek! He deals with that kind of stuff! He's really good

@@hunterhestekin7420 go to minute 59:20 of that video you mentioned. Titus says that you cannot find archeological evidence of a migration of 2 million people. Lol That's ridiculous. They basically just go off of scripture and interpret them to fit their biblical stories.

How does someone be saved?
Believe that Jesus Christ was born to be your substitute under God‘s law, lived a perfect life to be your righteousness by faith, died on the cross to forgive all your sins, rose from the dead so that you also will rise from the grave one day, and ascended into Heaven with the promise that He will return to take you and all believers to live with him in paradise forever.

I prayed for a reach of faith and He absolutely answered my prayer and revealed Himself undeniably to me 100%! But what is it about belief in Him that makes the difference of whether or not someone receives salvation? I don't understand why he won't save everybody? We all fall short and need the Savior! I'm subscribed! And I want to tell people about this channel! I enjoyed your recent video talking about Paul's journey before being imprisoned as well! I'm a new follower!

I loosen one's heart to fully trust in God that is one's strength and shield in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ, while loosening myself of every unequal yoke and common share with those who do not fully commit one's heart to trust God beingbone's strength and shield, in accordsnce with this word and psalm 28:7, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

How are people, other than christians, going to be saved? Based on what? Jesus more than proves who He is! And if you seek Him you will find Him! Other beliefs are extremely false and they can be disproven quickly! Check out Frank Turek or Jim Warner Wallace! No other book has been scrutinized and studied like the Bible! And it has never been inaccurate! Other religions are full of holes immediately! I'm sorry, but people putting their faith in anything other than Jesus Christ are not going inherit everlasting life! There is only one way! Faith in Jesus Christ and His works, not ours, and in no other way.!
They won't read your Bible, your not a true Christian yourself or you wouldn't say that. Christianity is not Burger King you can't have it your way! It is Gods way or the Highway.
