Perth & District Pipe Band | Association Reunion March to The Black Watch Museum at Balhousie
At 2.30 PM, all members of the Black Watch Association, everyone who has worn the red hackle in their military service, are invited to form up on Rose Terrace, to step off as usual behind the Perth & District Pipe Band for the Association march into Balhousie for the Reunion.
Yesterday was the Iraq Commemoration and Black Watch Association Reunion in Perth, Scotland. All Black Watch and their families were invited in honouring the courage and sacrifice of the men who served in the last operational deployments of 1 BW in 2003 and 2004.

THE BLACK WATCH:
The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) Association was founded in 1873. It was reshaped in 1919 in the aftermath of the First World War when the founding fathers established an organisation to help the thousands of men who had served in that conflict. It has stood the test of time by supporting soldiers and their families as they face the unique challenges of their Army service. Since 2022 the Association has become part of The Black Watch Regimental Trust a registered charity in Scotland (No. SC005848) which adopted the charitable aims of welfare, comradeship and memorial from the Association.
The Association is based at Balhousie Castle in Perth, which is the spiritual home of The Black Watch. We continue to encourage comradeship and support those who have served in the Regiment and their dependants. We can assist veterans who are in need through their age, physical or mental health, disability, financial hardship or during other challenging circumstances. The charity has an extensive network of Branches and volunteers across the UK who plan and run events which help to initiate and maintain links with old comrades.

That was not like the old sightseeing bus trip, spent more time going through residential areas and the roads are so narrow now, credit to the driver....what happened to the visit to the Bannockburn side of history....all the visitors actually see is the edge of the university grounds, Wallace monument and castle car parks...disappointing but thanks for filming ....

I studied English and history at Stirling University in 2011. I miss the Baynestreet fam. And our nights at the Dusk Club. Still feel homesick. Best time of my life. ❤
