We came out to play with the crawlers and also wanted to see what we were playing on from the air. Taking the Cub up to see if there's anything we can't see from the ground. Plus flying between hills is going to be a blast!

Things were looking good until I started . Today we are going to be speed testing a new body to see if it will parachute at close to a 100mph..... or I thought I would be. Turns out I cant drive for squat. Next is to make some speed passes with a boat and trailer and see just how fast is too fast. No life jacket needed... lets roll
Two cubs one camera

Eflite carbon z cubs. Between the two is 160 inches of mistakes about to happen. The blue one is the earlier model and the orange is the current model. Both are running on 6s lipo packs. The new one is broke in, today is the maiden for the blue cub. We take to the sky for some afternoon fun!

We were thinking of centering the camera somewhere on the plane, but I like this view better? What do you think? We were wanting to see the airfield from above. Nows now bad, but when spring comes, and she greens up it will look great. Suit up, strap in, were taking off!!!!!!!!
Radian edf.. what acually happened?

You'll never guess what happen!! Minutes after a rough tango with a sign, we got it taped up and ready to go airborne. This time with a Subi, shot the glider out of the moon roof. It was prolly flying like a turd because the shark head was missing.

I had a good feeling.......... up until I didnt on this one. It coulda, it shoulda, it woulda been a flying shark, gobbling up all the new subscribers! Five minutes later we literally taped it back together and sent it out the moon roof of a subi.
80mm EDF Eflite radian disaster

Glueing a 80mm fan to the top of the radian seemed like a good idea, that is until I tossed it in the weeds. This ended worse than the umx version I made. But this did fly well and was very fun to play with. Coming soon version two. This was our first firework. . . . on accident
Speed slash hits OVER 100MPH on 5S

Today I forgot to bring adapters so we are dialing it in on 5s. Goal today is to hit at least 100mph, if we can achieve that then it should be supersonic on 6s. This is also possibly the last time you will see it as a fiesta. Upgrades activate!!

Had to think outside the runway on this one. The first time was easy, not this time. To the left, to the right, in the weeds, and broke the gear again. Finally a hand launch out of the cab was the solution.

We went in search of a new field, found it to find out its private and the gate was locked so we wound up at the usual spot for this one.

I wish I had a truck/trailer combo. Glad the proboat didn't get scuffed up. Would like to see the proboat on moving water, the Platte maybe. Toyota trucks are great, I had a T100 5 speed manual. Now my favorite old truck is a GMC 2500HD 8.1 liter vortec with Allison transmission. Fly it like you STOL it. Cheers

Um I'm not sure. Inside is 79mm. You can resize it in tinkercad or on cura.

Also, I have a Jerry rigged glider I made with a 64mm EDF nacelle unit that came from another crashed plane. The glider I used is the Volantex Phoenix S and Added the 64MM EDF + Nacelle slightly aft of CG. Maybe an Idea for you, because this thing I made out of just curiosity flies like a dream. It is immaculate. I'll try and film some and put on my channel and share the link. Never done it before so It might take some time, but that is to show how much I love it. I fly nothing else since! And My reason for the file is that I am going to try and do the same type of build, but now with an 80MM and with another volantex frame, this time the Phoenix V2 (a bigger version of the Phoenix S, so airfraim is somewat the same, just scaled bigger) Kits of these airframes are very cheap and of decent quality, deffo for the price. In any case, looking forward to more EDF Frankenstein projects!

try to mix elevator proportional to the throttle due to the momentum that the engine is creating. And try to launch gentle while running, dont stop running and throw at a stance. 😀
Dudes... what are you doing.... ? You can not push by hand that hard the plane... The hand is never correctly oriented with the correct plane direction... you will always get 'dangerous' results... The arm/hand should just support with a gentle push the direction the plane is taking during the launch, while at sustained throttle...

expressLRS and radiomaster MT10 have amazing range. Its a bit of a learning curve to get started but you seam like someone who enjoys tinkering with things. The price point is so much less than the proprietary systems the manufactures use. Loving the Content keep it up man.
Im hoping to hook up an older spektrum radio that has a speedometer built into it. Does the express hook to the spektrum receiver, or is it radio rx package like the mt10
@flyasakite1781 dang that's cool they have a speedo built into the older units. ELRS is its own protocol. I do think they have a 4 in one module that works with spektrum, that combo wouldn't increase rang tho, spektrums protocol or the tx power is probably the limiting factor for range. I use a radiomaster with a 4 in 1 module for some of my HH planes
its more of a add on to a dx2e. idk it looked neat so I wana try it out

@flyasakite1781 It's like a real long rubber band. You would have to. Look it up online. It is roughly several feet of surgical tubing tied to several feet of thin nylon line nailed in the ground, Think sling-shot. If you do look It up online, it's called an upstart for radio control gliders. Or talk to some rc glider guys. I made one and used it on an edf that was a real POS. It did get it launched up in the sky.But the jet was a real crapper.

@flyasakite1781 They work really well but you have to be very careful. If it snaps loose, it can ruin your day. I used them with my gliders in the past.. Watch some videos about rc glider launching.
There are several rc bungee launch videos on CZcams, I just finished watching some.

LOL. Awesome work. 10/10. Give vectored thrust (yaw only) a shot. It works great to overcome the lack of aerodynamic steering from not having prop wash over the rudder and lack of mechanical steering via the tailwheel due to not having the prop wash make the elevator effective either at slow air speeds with this type of conversion. Can't wait to see what else you come up with!
I was thinking of Y-ing off the rudder with another servo for a steerable rear wheel. A wheel right off the servo horn. lol

@@flyasakite1781 The issue with that is you still won't have downforce on the tail to make that wheel able to steer mechanically. Source: many crashes with the Bush Viper trying the same before going to vectored thrust. 😂
