My first play through Bloodborne. Also my first attempt at this boss ever. I was a bit worried about approaching this fight but read about dodging left and using fire which payed off.

My 2nd attempt at the Dancer. She is weak to dark, so I chose black fire orb Dark Clutch Ring as my strategy. Character level 70. Pyro glove 7. INT/FTH at 25/25. Also using Witches Ring, Sages Ring, and Great Swamp Ring.

Seems to be around the same damage as chaos fire orb with similar int/faith. The advantage of the fire spell is that you get the lingering lava hit. I'm about to test it out myself.
3 year old comment but: Choas orb cost more FP and also requires you actually can land the second hit. Better off just tossing black fire orbs
