Always told, if you're heading north to fish. You want a reel that could double as a winch lol one that won't sh*t itself after a little abuse, and a simple construction that's relatively easy to manage. Calcutta ticks everything on the list. Good all rounder too it's suitable to use over a broad range of fishing locations (habitat)... definition of built like a brick sh*thouse

It's all good mate, bought an SS Air TW reel on a millerod BFS rod for the open of bass season and ended up catching 6 tilapia. Not sure I needed to spend a grand to get the fish, but that's how it happens sometimes haha

Hey bro awesome vid I’m a local from hope vale and it’s great to see people like you showcase to the rest of the world the beautiful country cape York has to offer, I assume u are croc wise bc I watch your vids all the time and luv em but I advise not walking through waist deep dirty water like you did especially that spot where you were fishing, been there plenty of times and seen a pretty big croc right where you jumped in just saying stay safe and keep up the hectic vids

Such a sick place man, so many great fish and in between some really cool wildlife shots too. I'd love to see a northern quoll in the wild some day myself, they used to be everywhere around where I live apparently but no more to be found at the moment unfortunately.
