Im tasting don juilo rep right now and rhe reason im looking at reviews is that its absolutely gorgeous but i dont get as much agave flavour and its so sweet and im almosy getting passion fruit notes of it and for me for a rep that just doesn't seem right so im trying to see if im crazy. Youve validated what im thinking, it's a lovely easy drinker but i can imagine it was alot better in the past.

My GOD, the jealousy and inverse snobbery around Don Julio tequila is not to be believed! Every Tequila You Tuber is desperately trying to peel people away from this best-selling brand. I've got news for you: People keep buying Don Julio because it's great tequila and they love it!
This is a fantastic choice which I’d be happy to sip all day long. Other repos I’d recommend is Terralta (top 5 repo), Volans, El Luchador (new NOM 1517), tequila ocho repo, G4….

Macallan 15 offers great value, quite similar to the 18 YO at a big discount... if you are yet to try Macallan start with the 12 Sherry Oak

Blantons Gold is richer than the single barrel due to the 103 proof when compared to just 93 but you are getting charged for the Gold Jockey which becomes useless once you finish the bottle... I would rather allocate my funds in the single barrel and the Macallan... It is an elissir and the other is a whiskey: one is drunk, the other is savored. The black label for strong drinking after six and the Blue Label for any time.
