The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu is led by His Grace Archbishop Datuk John Wong. The archdiocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church in the State of Sabah in Malaysia on Borneo Island is under the direct jurisdiction of the Vatican in Rome. It has an area of 4,993 sq km (1,928 sq miles). It is made up of many races-Kadazan, Dusun, Murut, Bajau, Chinese, Indian, Filipino, Timorese, etc-who live in peace and harmony most of the time. It comprises the Ecclesiastical Province of Kota Kinabalu with Kota Kinabalu as the metropolitan archdiocese, and the Dioceses of Keningau and Sandakan as suffragan sees. It has 23 parishes with Sacred Heart Cathedral Kota Kinabalu as the seat of the Archbishop.
The Archdiocese is a member of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

REV FR. FRANCIS TSEN - HOW ARE YOU ?
*Rev. Father Francis Tsen : A Life of Dedication*
Born on September 20, 1941, Rev. Father Francis Tsen began his journey at St. Anthony’s Boarding School in Labuan. Raised by Rev. Father Smit, he was asked early on if he wished to be a priest, to which he answered affirmatively.
At 13, he entered the Seminary in Jesselton (now Kota Kinabalu) as a Mini Minor Seminarian. By 15, he completed Form Five and trained at St. Francis Xavier Seminary in Singapore (1957-1959). There, he met notable senior seminarians like Bishop Datuk Simon Fung and Archbishop Emeritus Datuk John Lee.
He continued his theological education at General College, Penang (1960-1965), and was ordained as a priest. On January 9, 2016, Fr. Francis celebrated 50 years of priestly ministry before retiring, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Oleh karena sering disisihkan oleh keluarga,, saya menulis surat kepada LA SALLE BROTHERS T.ARU. 1999 menerima surat tawaran/panggilan dari The Late Bro.Herbert untuk menjadi Hamba Tuhan.. Tetapi saya masih ragu. 2001 sekali lagi menerima Panggilan dari The Late Bro.Martin La salle brothers tetapi saya tolak kerana tergoda harta duniawi .. 35 tahun tidak pernah menerima Komuni Kudus. Mach 2016 bagun dari tidur di pagi hari, tiba tiba terlihat Yesus berlalu pergi .. Hampir saja saya mau terjun dari jendela mau kejar Yesus . Akhirnya Mei 2016 terbuka hati untuk kembali menjadi katekumen dan 2017 menerima komuni kudus buat fisrt time sekaligus menerima Sakramen Penguatan.. Ya Yesus, saat ini aku sudah tidak lagi dapat melarikan diri dari Panggilan Mu . Dan Engkau telah mengutus aku di tengah tengah gerombolan serigala Terjadi menurut kehendakMu. Amen.. Nah, buat para remaja/belia, ketika Yesus sudah MEMANGGIL anda menjadi hambaNya untuk bekerja di ladang.. Jangan sesekali menolak.. Terima lah saja panggilan itu dan jangan melarikan diri dari panggilan Tuhan,, kerana Dia akan mengejar anda setiap waktu seperti Yunus yang di kejar Tuhan ..
