I saw where they did the smog. All they put down was a name. Which is the name on the actual car lien. So it’s the original owner. However the original owner was NOT there at the sale. So I’m sure this seller and the owner are working together to scam people.

Because it was meant to be a daily driver for my fiancé😅 I didn’t really wanna dump money into a car that isn’t street legal.. I wanted to just enjoy it for what it was, a Honda civic😭

My IS is a 2015. The one I used for this video is a 2021. You would need a car that already comes with Apple CarPlay from factory in order to run this device!

I read all about that and it’s not a guarantee. The original owner with the outstanding balance would get the title or the release of title paperwork after I pay it. It’s like I’m paying it for them per carmax and they would just file the car stolen and I would be left with nothing. The supervisor told me she’s seen it happen a bunch of times so advised me against paying the outstanding balance since it’s not a guarantee. The seller who sold it to me isn’t even the original owner that is on the actual car loan.

@@JasonNguyen But you made a deal with someone "in good faith". Paying the car off is also a "good faith" move. Since you paid for the car, the registration AND the loan balance you would have more rights then the original owner. You dont need a lawyer, its a small claims court. You present your side and your paperwork. Original owner would need to prove how and what he did to "keep the car". Which in this case looks like nothing. You are in Cali tho so not sure how that would work out but NJ, TX, FL all have laws that use "good faith" when a deal falls thru. Something isn't adding up if you were able to get the car after it hasn't been paid for MONTHS AND MONTHS. I would do some sus shit and call car max, have them change my address on file to your address, then pay the car off. Get title in mail. First two rules of car buying are you don't hand over cash without a title. So as much as it sucks you let the thought of getting the car dirt cheap cloud your judgement. It happens man.
