This episode wasn’t super memorable until the ending which scared the fuck out of everybody when they first watched it

I like the episode a lot but deep trouble was my favourite book and the story is way different involving mermaids and a back stabbing friend trying to sell the mermaids off and a fight with a hammer head shark I remember the book being so fun , and the banter between Sheena and Billy was similar. But I really do enjoy the episode I just wish we got a cool tv version as kids for the books story

I remember watching this when I was about six years old. That shadow man terrified me for some reason. It was genuinely frightening! I had to look up the name of the actor playing Danny. Cody Jones is his name and he deserves major credit for this Performance. I don’t know how old he was here but he gives such a mature, nuanced performance for an actor his age. I hope he continued his acting career as he had much more to give. Mind you, saying he shines as a character in the Goosebumps tv series isn’t really saying much… And I loved this show so I’m not trying to bash it. There were just so many awkward performances from the young actors (a young Darth Vader comes to mind) that it’s refreshing to see an actual actor pull off such a confused character that still garners sympathy. Such a good episode. Well done him!!

You know normally I don't believe these kids deserve what they got but this kid did. He had multiple warnings and it came back to bite him in the butt.

Did anyone else notice in the final scene, when Margaret wants to tie her sneakers, that before she does it, they are red, but then they are blue? A minor error.

This is one of my favorite episodes. It has a lesson for both kids and parents. Kids need to learn to appreciate the time, effort, and money that their parents spend on them. Parents should learn that when their kids are unhappy, fix the problem instead of killing them, and don't just do what everyone else is doing. The hotel's big mistake is that the new parents hadn't been there long enough to be fully indoctrinated into the cult. It took a month of brainwashing to get Ms. Baker to give up her son. The main parents were only there for a day, not nearly enough time to get brainwashed. The hotel tried to make them give up their kids before they were ready. That led to the downfall of the hotel. Of course, it's a little weird that none of them get out of the hotel when it caught on fire. Much of the episode is really dark, with parents murdering their kids and encouraging other parents to do so. It's also sad that Jeremy didn't believe Todd until it was too late for him. But that makes the happy ending that much more satisfying. Not many episodes of the Haunting Hour have a happy ending. This one does.

I love these shows , me and my brother had all the books . I am so sad i lost my memory from 18 and back. I get luttle memories from my brother telling stories . Im epileptic and have suffered memeory loss from the seizures. I live seeing these again. I hope to find the books one day. It wold mean thr worl to meand my brother. As we ages mymom got id of thrm to my cousins and they ruined them.
