To call this video great would be an huge understatement. 👏👏👏 VII is my favorite FF, it was both my first FF and my first RPG, back then I had a great prejudice against RPGs, but after watching Advent Children I had to play the game that originated it, and I was blown away. I've played the original PC release (on Windows XP) and for a long time I didn't know the original One Winged Angel even had vocals 😅

@Andrew Bluett Thank you for making this amazing video. I'm an avid fan of FF6. FF6 is the best RPG I have ever played, along with Chrono trigger both tied at #1. There is some CC / Subtitle error : At 11:24, the year 1993 in the subtitle was displayed as 2993 . Under English (United States) (Secret Of Mana context) If you would take time to made the amendments and correction, it would be much appreciated.

Comments here are absolutely ridiculous on the Faris issue. The video repeatedly suggests that this is only one interpretation and that you are free to disregard any modern sense of gender, while also exploring the character through a modern lens. That's what a good retrospective SHOULD do. Look back, in the current day, and explore what the game was and what it is now. If the character now resonates with people for any reason such as gender identity, that's also perfectly valid. If you don't agree, just move on. Again, it's presented as a single interpretation that you are free to ignore. While others may enjoy looking at the character from this different angle and may identify more with them. That shouldn't be a problem.

This video, like your others is incredible. It’s informative, entertaining, engaging , and has great small moments. I remember when I first saw the commercial for it on tv …I was playing with transformers and boom …that shit dropped the soft Simple and Clean music hit …I cried tears I didn’t even know I had …I’m what is this game!???!?…then the dance version of the SC commercial…I was like ayoooo …this is raw for no reason…especially seeing Squall he my fav ff character.

In regards to mods, one of the best things is for those of us that's played the game nearly 30 years now, it adds a fresh coat of paint, helping renew our love for the original. But I'm with you on loving the blocky characters. They ooze charm.

For me Chrono Trigger will remain probably my favorite RPG of all time. I don't consider Chrono Cross to be canon as the "fall lf Gardia" makes very little sense unless the main characters are long dead, which events in Cross muddle a bit.

This is the game that i grew up playing with my cousin. Yes, we played. There was never a dull moment to talk about whether it was killing a Red Dragon 3, looting some dragon or glass armor, and even maybe getting the pink tail. FF 2 (IV) for life!

The main theme of FFVI is still the best. Totally sets the mood of the game, almost makes you feel magic exists.

God 343 fans really hate OG halo. 4 is genuinely one if the worst games ive played within the context of the series that proceeded it. Its like the ultimste litmus test as to whetherbor nit someone is just a dumb consoomer who'll eat shit as long as its on a halo thened plate.

Unfortunately this Playstation experiment by Sony would fail shortly after, and forced Square-Enix to close it's doors, thus ending the Final Fantasy series forever. *The End* ...But what if it didn't? Tune in next time for (the theoretical) FF VIII! :P

People are always trying to 'ship (relationship) Cloud and Aerith but I've always felt that Tifa and Cloud were the ones truly meant for each other. Cloud joined Soldier to impress and protect Tifa. He was the only one that followed her on the mountain. He always wanted to be around her. Cloud is her savior at Nibel reactor. Then the roles reverse. Tifa finds Cloud in Midgar and wants to protect him. He's the last piece of Home she has left. She protects him by not calling out his 'lies' or half truths. She's the one that searches for him then stays with him during his Lifestream recovery. And MOST importantly, she's the one that saved Cloud, from himself and from death. At the end they share that final night together. Both having been thru hell and both having SAVED each other's life. They're meant to be.
