it has not been good at all, I have had 2 surgerys to try and remove a large tumor in my bladder, unfortunatly the cancer had started to spread into my back so I am now having an intence corse of chemo and that is knocking me about, once the chemo has finished i will have to have radio therapy every day for a month, once that is done I will then find out if I have to have my bladder removed, I will probably be unfit to do any work this year but I am fighting it all the way.

I can’t afford this beautiful car as I need money for lawyers fees to get my children to safety after I found them but this is a beautiful car sir. I also wish you a full recovery and strength for you and your family

yes you can, i use renovo products for all my roof colours and have found them to be very good.

Micro blistering and solvent pop are two different things, micro blistering normally comes from the base coats having moisture in them and if the bubbles on top are removed it can leave holes that go down to the base metal, these types of faults can only be corrected by compleatly bare metal re painting, solvent pop on the other hand is created by the solvent gases that can be trapped under the baked top coat but slowly come to the top, most of these pops can be removed by wet flatting and re polishing, me personaly would flat them out and leave for a day before polishing allowing some time for any more gassing out of the solvent after the crust has been opened by flatting, i hope this is helpfull but please do not hesitate to ask more questions.

I use Menzerna 3800 finishing polish with a soft foam or soft microfibre pad, wipe of carefully so you dont scratch it again.

I am going to cut the exhaust so i can lift the manifolds out, this will give me plenty of room.

Hi Chris, yes you ca change the color but the Red will bleed through so it would need a lot of cots of black and each cote would have to be left to dry before the next was applied so although it is not really more work, it would take longer to complete the job, cost would be approx £500 quid that also includes waterproofing the roof as well.

There is no real formula to work out the values of these cars as they have gone up and down over the years, The last project SL that was sold by one of my friends went for 45k but the body repairs were done but not painted, to pay for a full restoration by someone who will do a proper build would be anything upto 120k so the buyer would have to value the car by how he would be restoring the car. have a look at the market and work out an average value from that, I hope this helps a little and I am sorry that I cannot be more specific.

If you are going to do the work yourself this would make a massive difference to the build costs.

@@tedwhitehall2540 thank you, your explanation is helpful. I suppose there would be a premium for a one owner car with matching body numbers. I have spoken to a few Pagoda owners with excellent restorations but none of them have matching body numbers.

Cheers mate, I do have a factory wiring diagram but unfortunately, it does not have the wiring colors on it so it has been a mission to find what goes where but now i shall be wiring it back up as the car was modified, very satisfying to find the faults but a lot of wasted time getting there.

That is electric faults this complex all over, even the electronic four were joining the fix, well done guys.

I love polishing red, makes a change from doing black cars

Some people do not want to be filmed, they become very self-conscious and hold back under the pressure, it would be nice though.

@@tedwhitehall2540 Ted, just a heads up (we had a phone chat a while ago about final finishing polishes) but, I tried a new product from Mitchell and King, called pure. It’s marketed as a pre wax cleaner , but after using it, I spoke to John the owner and it does contain micro abrasives. I’d say it’s better than Menzerna 3800, I’m massively impressed with it and I’m rarely impressed with detailing products!

@@markjefferson7492 Hi Mark, I have swisvax cleaner fluid that I do use on occasion but I do not use it often for finishing as I am always happy with the menzerna but if you like it ther is no reason not to use it depending on cost.

@@tedwhitehall2540 just thought I’d flag it as I’m a big Menzerna user but this product impressed me and is inexpensive but results are impressive 👍🏻
