Have you ever had parents protest this idea because of political and religious reasons? Just curious. As a nurse practitioner I had gotten a drink on the way to work and a patient saw the cup on my desk and asked me to discard it due to what they support. I bring a reusable cup now if I get their drinks.

Honestly, I like this. Yes, its a big corporation but thats what makes it recognizable. As a kid, I grew up going to Starbucks, getting a glass of milk and lemon pound cake, and reading with my mom. Now we still occasionally go, we just try to hit local places instead. This would've made me happy as a child

This video has been very helpful. I will be starting my first year of teaching this coming fall after graduating from college as a 1/2 combination teacher. Any advice on how I should use math stations with two different grades and how to/when to start teaching stations to my students at the beginning of the year? my sixth grade teacher did something similar. fsixth grade was covid, so on the last day she decorated her room like a starbucks. she called it Starbooks! and we just did a whole lotta nothing

Maybe this sounds rude but to all teachers- if you keep losing pencils, just stop giving out pencils. I’m a student myself and honestly, if the teacher doesn’t give out pencils idgaf. Like if they just keep getting stolen you shouldn’t keep trying. Or do something like give the kids those comically large pencils if they ask lol

My class parents help with prepping pencils monthly.

I have used this Great Pencil Challenge for 3 years now in my 3rd grade classroom. 85% of Students have kept their pencil for almost 3 weeks. They get rewarded for being responsible. Students love it !
