Fantastic what they can do in 4 minutes. It's a bit like Seinfeld in that way. You get 4 or 5 people in a room at the one time, as well as know their likely reactions. And it's a joke festival from every angle 💎

What good memories. This is great fun not like the rubbish on the BBC NOW ITS BLOODY AWFUL

The magnificent Routemaster. I'm glad they used an RM in the film spin off of On The Buses. Film crews more often than not would use an RT whenever a bus was required for a film or a TV episode. Don't get me wrong, the RT was a fantastic bus but so was the Routemaster and Reg Varney and Stephen Lewis were superb (as usual) on RM200- VLT 200. What a pity much of the AEC AV590 sound was overdubbed! The whole bus looked right at Chiswick Skid Pan. Proper internal decor with sung yellow ceilings. And a nice early bodied Routemaster bus with non-opening front upper deck windows. By 1971( when the film was made) the Routemaster became THE standard London Transport bus taking over the RT in this mantle. Although RM200 looked in good condition what a shame flake grey was adopted as the colour of the relief band, no doubt one of the more poorer decisions by the management back in the 60s to apply this on central area buses in place of the much nicer Chiswick Cream waistband.

Bob Mcnab Arsenal defender, I remember this episode in real time & him playing for the gunners. Lucky for him he was injured for this game or Olive would have ended his career early somehow. Classic episode, lots of fun & laughter. 😂👍

This is the very first episode of this show I ever saw. Back a few years ago when ITV 3 showed them at either 4 or 5pm, I can’t remember which. Now I think about it, that was the last time I would regularly sit down to watch a series on the telly. Either I’m getting old and out of touch or modern T.V is totally uninteresting.

The actress playing Fatima (Julie Mendez) was a speciality dancer. According to IMDB she was born in 1938 and died in June 2013. Not much detail about her is up there. It is unusual for an English actress to have that talent. Maybe she was born in India or some place like that.

I've never seen that episode before. Poor Olive gets the insults again as usual. 'You look horrible every morning', and that's from Stan. Anna Karen 😘 must have been their favourite cast member behind the scenes, to have taken that for so long.

The English invented the comedy formula.💎 6-10 jokes and funny actions per minute. This show lives up to that, so the whole experience with these friends and characters we know is a joy. A good distraction to relax the day. ☕

10:30 Well you know how careless Olive is with her cigarettes, Prophetic. Anna Karen died in 2022 at age 85 after falling asleep with a lit cigarette.

I think Olive is the butt of their jokes, a bit like George in Seinfeld. The way in which she becomes the centre of attention on what's wrong, has her judged and criticised. But the viewer chooses to favour her. 😍
