I'm thinking maybe you could fill it partially or even fully with Great Stuff. Add a foam backing to the pattern pieces by gluing it, then fill with the spray expanding foam, at least around the pole. It would give it more structure. I did one of the duct tape ones, they droop and sag because the polyfill compacts over time, even with cramming it in there.Then again, might just be easier to cough up the cash and buy one. I tried the adjustable type too, they are too heavy, don't stay on settings when working with them after awhile, the screws wear out that hold the sliders.

This is incorrect! This is only correct if the pattern is for a halter neck design otherwise, Front Length measurement should start from the shoulder at the base of the neck and not from the center back neck point.

For someone who is thinking of doing this. Is it moldable afterwords she want to be able to make corsets for her self using this and is worried the form won’t mold to the corset she doesn’t have a corset to measure herself in so making it custom to that won’t work

I either am very short waisted and/or have long orangutan arms, as the bottom of the point of my elbow is right where the top of my hip bone (iliac crest) starts. You mentioned not to measure at smallest circumference - would you suggest another position reference such as distance from belly button, between iliac crest and ribcage, etc?

There are so many videos on putting the patterns together which are slow an nice yet still this site are padner with the diy dressform site an ur video is fast don't understand why this site should of have the best videos on putting these dressform together to bring in more customers as to y they should want to make there own dressform than to buy one that's already made pls do some slow videos an up ur game very nice dress pants form am about to make mines as well took me 3 days to peice all 3 patterns together after all that puzzle piecing with these a4 papers will look around till I find the best videos about dos an don't s an mistakes what to look for .
