Hello! Welcome to our channel. We are Dave and Heidi Struble. We have both been given a second chance at life. We didn't want to live our lives stuck in rut, so we decided to reimagine our lives. It meant taking chances and having new experiences. We purchased Surly Bikes in the height of the pandemic, and we've been riding ever since. Our bike adventures span the United States, and we are always looking for another experience to add to our journey. In Windsor I highly recommend Katy’s Cabins.
So many great options would do this trail again just to see what we missed !!

Right it's no joke !
Until the trail from Brockton to Sherman is improved, I would recommend an altogether different, more direct route to Spartanburg or Titusville. I’ve ridden some of that rail trail in New York on my mt bike and bailed out for similar reasons. For future cyclists planning this route I would suggest Erie to Harborcreek Pa then onto Sherman NY. Or Erie to Union City PA to Titusville. Heading south from Erie can be busy until you get south of I 90. Plenty of nice quiet paved roads from there. Just a little bit of local knowledge from someone who rides this region almost every day. Yin’s are way tougher than me to conquer some of that terrain with all that gear!
Yeah, most definalty. There's better routes to take for sure and safer. Our main objective was to follow the planned route as the trail will be designed using the Erie to Pittsburgh trail map.

Some lady at a shop in PA said she lives on beechview and all I could think was how is this kind of infrastructure allowed? It's own city even said "you have to conquer it." Driving here is miserable!

I have a cabin on 62 below Tionesta, every morning the train would go across the river up the Tidioute wonder if Rails to Trails has any plans on running a trail from Oil City to tidioute along the river
I'm not sure. . . tionesta is a beautiful area
Enjoyed the video. Just a suggestion for your safety - adjust your helmets. Having your forehead exposed or the straps so loose the helmet can flop around, the helmet isn't going to do much. You helmet should be just over your eyebrows and tight enough to just get your fingers under the straps. Be safe and enjoy your ride.

I live in Cheswick near Springdale and used to bike to work in Sharpsburg along the "rock fall" zone you went through. It's nice having your own car sized bike lane. I just wish they extended the Three Rivers Heritage Trail all the way to Springdale so you could ride from Rachel Carson's hometown to downtown without all the cars.
It was so nice yes ! Yeah I agree they have been really working hard on this trail tho I'm impressed with the new section that are complete it will be a great ride when it's all done

When I was 10-11yrs old, in the early 80's, I would "borrow" my older brothers bike if mine was out of commission, he had a 78 Suzuki TS185, I couldn't touch the ground & could barely kick it over, but I could start it. I would have to lean it against something to start it & coming to a stop was usually a planned adventure as I would have to jump off it carefully & be close to something to lean it against. lolol. I thought that thing was the fastest bike around! So now that she can start it, yep, she can ride it. haha 😁

Ya it should have been even easier if it's turned right you should literally be able to start it with your hand the only bike that can mess you up is probably a 500 or like a 426 or some shit

Canton might technically be steepest, but is very far from the most impressive hill in Pittsburgh, Potomac is crazy long and steep, rialto is crazy, ravine, and others are way harder to bike up, i did rialto on a bike as a teenager, now at 45 i wouldn't even want walk up rialto lmao, you could've atleast planted an electric motor in your cranks lmao!!
