How to ACTUALLY Stop Biting Your Nails
I've discovered a really promising strategy to help you stop biting your nails.
I've been using this for the past 2 weeks and it's been VERY helpful 👍
Just pour the bitter tasting solution into a small bowl of water and soak your fingers in it. I do this probably on the hour every day while sitting at at work just to reinforce the habit and to ensure the bad tasting stuff stays on the fingers for a long time.
Give it a try and let me know in the comments how you've found it!

Definitely not the 5 ball juggling. Yes I am an experienced 3 ball juggler, but could never do 5 balls until after this challenge. I would question your thoughts on whether it's possible or not. There's a lot of time in 30 days and I was spending probably an hour per day juggling for practice. You can practise for even longer than an hour, or split it up into 10 x 20 minute blocks. I think it's definitely possible for a beginner to learn to juggle in 30 days 👍🏻

Day one for Nathan seems impossible for me. I've juggled three balls for fifty years, and a few years back I went for a few years juggling four snowballs while riding my bike. I'd basically ride everywhere in Toronto just doing three (that part for years). In March, my son visited. He's a drummer, not a juggler. He picked up juggling three clubs in fifteen minutes. I had trouble with four balls. A week after he left, I was very consistent with four balls, and when I visit the city now I walk through traffic with four bean balls, no biggie. As for height, I can consistently four-ball it with one ball up to the third floor of buildings followed by two balls up to the second or third floor. So I'm a solid four. But five? Five? Still can't even visualize it. Telling myself it's just three but faster doesn't do it for me. If I could ever do five once, I could then repeat it. So by 1:16 in this video, I'm out. Still, I'll force my four-ball brain to watch this video.

I too learned 5 balls was standing in front of my bed, so I didn't have to keep picking them up. I also put in 1 to 3 hours every night after work, for a few months. I kept throwing a 3 ball cascade fast and high enough so you have time to throw the last two. It's not as fast as you may think. I would just focus of throwing 5 accurate balls and letting them drop and if they land in 2 tight groups then start catching.

You'll see this posted on a few nail-biting videos. I think my story about how I almost died from biting my nails is important for people to hear(long story)👇 I'm an awful storyteller, but if my story can get one person to stop, it's worth it. I was 32 years old in 2019. I've chewed on my fingers as long as I can remember. But this time, I had bit my ring finger down too low, and I allowed that finger to become infected. It happens at least once a month(nail biters will know what im talking about), so I thought nothing of it. Being a guy, I didn't want to go to the doctor. My girl finally made me go once my fever hit 107.8(I didn't have body aches anymore it felt like i was high on pain meds. Felt like I was on drugs. It actually felt good, which was scary). So I get to the hospital, and when I walk to the counter, the lady goes, "Oh honey, you need to be seen right now." I haven't said a word yet. But she got some nurse and her eyes got big and said "Come with me." I still have np idea what's wrong. The doctor was apparently informed because he met me in my room before a nurse came in. So we do some blood draws and eventually a spinal tap(that was fun 🙅‍♂️) they find out I have some severe blood infection and that I should have been in to get checked out 5 days earlier(oops 🤷‍♂️). So they push so many fluids. I have 3 IVs, and I've got to piss every 3 minutes, it seems. They can't get my fever to go down, and I'm then told the scary news. This blood infection had turned severely septic, and that should have been admitted days ago. I went from getting out of my truck to the ICU in a matter of about 35 minutes. They had a team of people waiting for me, and thats when it really hit me that this was serious. I couldn't see their faces because of their masks, but you could tell they were all very serious. Or as I called it "doctor mode." You could hear a pin drop in that room. They put in something called a PICC line, which I later found out is used a lot for cancer patients. During all of this, I didn't notice the big printer looking machine next to my bed, and that's what they hooked me up to. They then asked me a bunch of questions. I had to sign my name on a bunch of forms, and they immediately began a blood transfusion of O- blood. They didn't have time to do something called match-cross, I think? Don't quote me on that, though. I ended up having 3 or 4 of them. Once my fever got down to 105, I really lost track of things. That suuuucked. They also used a pen to draw on my finger to outline where the infection was. I'm still not sure why they did that. On day 4 is when things really took a shit turn and changed the way I live now. I started having trouble getting air. Like I was inhaling and exhaling just fine, but it was like something broke inside my lungs, and they weren't working right anymore. I started sweating like crazy & feeling like I just ran a mile laying in bed. Turns out I had a blood clot that started in my leg(no clue how they knew its origin point, but sure, let's go with it) that ended up traveling to my lungs. Apparently, it's not too uncommon for these to happen with PICC lines or transfusions. Before this event happened, it was the best I had felt in weeks. I had no fever, so I was very lucid. And I gotta say, It's a scary god damn feeling knocking on deaths door. So He(Dakota, the badass nurse) comes in and quickly listens to my chest, immediately hit a button on the wall, said some shit into his clip-on microphone thing, and all hell broke loose. I had X-ray machines and other shit brought it along with what seemed like 40 people(exaggeration) . All I could see, though the chaos was my dad with a tear running down his face, and that's when I lost all hope. I'd never seen him cry before in my life. That was REAL fucking rough. Luckily they found the clot and said my best chance at survival was some clot busting medication. I Had to sign more papers before they could save my life(lol). The funny part of that was, they wanted me to sign sign these screens but they also didn't want me to move. So to take my dad's mind of shit for half a second I had him sign them for me. and then they administered that though my IV. Didn't take long before I could get some damn air again. But I'll tell ya. I was exhausted for 5 days after that. I just had no go in me. When I was discharged I wanted to go see the sweet lady(Bisa was her name) that got me in so quickly and thank her. So I had my dad take my card and go buy me $100 worth of flowers. She saw me coming from about 100 ft away sitting at her desk. She could tell I was coming to see her. The first thing she says is: "Sweety I don't know what shade or color you were when you walked in here, but this is much better." I explained to her what all happened during my stay and she could see me holding back emotion(im not a crier) but when I struggled fighting through the emotions saying "I think you saved my life" she interrupted me by just hugging and I lost it. I habent cried like that since I was a kid. Bisa: but you're doing better now? Me: Yes mam lots better, but with a new outlook on life. Bisa: "oh? And this new outlook on life you bringing someone special those beautiful flowers?" Me: Yes mam I am. That's why I came to see you and handed them to her. She was speechless and gave me another big hug. Her co-worker chimed in and said "that's a first. I don't think anyone has ever made her speechless. There must be something special about you. Because everyday she's been trying to get updates as she could on you. Within HIPAA guidelines of course. We've all been pulling for you down here." Bisa had apparently kept tabs on me with Dakota. She said she wanted to come check on me but it would have been unprofessional which I totally understand. She was such a wonderful soul who was in the right place at the right time to help save a know it all 32 year old that didn't need doctors. In conclusion my total stay in the hospital was 21 days. My hospital bill was $150,000+(criminal). I wouldn't be alive today if it were not for the amazing people working at Mercy Hospital. That's a fact. All because I had a stupid habit of biting my nails thinking it doesn't harm anyone. I almost put my 63 year old father in an early grave. All because I chewed on my fingers. So if you take anything out of this. Just don't do it. You really don't want to have to go through what I went through to gain a 3rd grandma in my life. Her name is now "Bibi Bisa." If there is one thing I ask from you if you've made it this far. Please stop chewing your body and please give thanks to the incredible staff at Mercy Hospital and of course Bibi Bisa. Her 79th birthday is coming up April 2nd. I cleaned out my savings and sold some of my assets from my retirement portfolio to buy her and I an all expense paid round trip to go visit her home(Kenya). She always talks about visiting home before its her time. So I'm going to take her and make sure she gets to see home. ❤️ Have a blessed day, everyone. Tell a family member you love them just because. 🙂
