(A bit late to reply, I thought you commented on my other video of the elevated section of the blue line, and when I couldn't find your comment I assumed you deleted it, until I clicked on this video and saw your comment here) I sure did enjoy riding & filming the C14, definitely something I will forever cherish from my visit to the city. From what I can tell, pretty much every single C20 I saw had the wheelchair icon on the middle section, does that mean all of them are now called C20U/C25? Is that the midlife upgrade the C20s were getting and why they were planning to keep the C14 around longer, until the last C20 is upgraded to C20U/C25?

@@H5subway5707 well all C20s with a wheelchair logo on the side and a white dot at the front is a C20U/C25. There are still unrefurbished C20s on the green and red line, but not on the blue line. I think that the reason to why we even use our C14 trains still, is that despite them having around 5-10 years left, they are now waiting for more C20U/C25 trains to come back from Västerås (where they are renovated) and later come to blue line (to replace 3 C14 trains per one C20U) or the green line. When the C20 family is fully upgraded, the rest will probably still go to blue and green line, even when the C14 is gone

@@Alex-se4tk So, to clarify, the C20U and C25 names refer to the same thing and can be used interchangeably? It's a shame that the C14 is being retired early, compared to the C6 which would have lasted nearly 15 years longer. Are the C25s intended to last as long as the C6? And since 1 train = 8 C14 cars (4 pairs) = 3 C25 sets, they would probably need to replace them in that ratio to have a 1:1 train replacement.

@@H5subway5707 Question 1: Yes, the C20U/C25 is two different names for the refurbished C20 trains, but somehow, most people call it C25, despite it not being a new train Quqestion 2: Yes, even if it is from the 80s, it oculd have survived atleast 10 more years before it is as old as the C6 with some sound isulation improvements. Issue is that SL, compared to many other countries, does not give a shit about their history, but we can hope that they save 3-4 C14 trains for the heritage train, (which they probably wont) which consists of 4 C2 trains and 1 C3 train question 3 I guess that the C20U is atleast planned to be used for 10-20 years mote so it becomes just as old as the C6 was, 50 years, but they will probably retire it early to replace with C30s

@@Alex-se4tk Not giving a shit about their history is certainly not something unique to SL, my home city (Toronto) has the exact same problem, which is why my favorite subway cars (the H5s, in my opinion the greatest subway cars Toronto ever had, and some of the greatest in the world) were all scrapped, with the exception of 1 survivor, №5707 (hence my username), which was not even preserved, but purchased by a film company for use in movies (and it's missing all the undercar components & trucks), and who knows how long they will keep it (so far it's been 10 years since they retired, in fact June 14 was the 10-year anniversary). So yeah, it's in no way limited to SL, I just didn't think SL would be another one to join the "not giving a shit about its history" club. It would be a shame if neither the C6 nor the C14/15 is saved. And I guess by the time the C25 is retired, it wouldn't be replaced with more C30s, but a newer model

I agree, I also definitely see the resemblance to some Berlin stock - to me it looks like some of Berlin's trains combined with the 81-717. Interiorwise (specifically the windows), it vaguely reminds me of Paris as well as the former G-series trains in Toronto.

Thank you! Unfortunately I haven't been to Warsaw since 2016 and don't know much about what's changed in terms of their subway system. I do know they're planning to get new Skoda trains that would likely replace all 81-717/572s, but according to Wikipedia only 2 of the new trains were delivered so far. Unfortunately there's likely a lot of political pressure to get rid of all those older cars, aside from the fact that some (but not all) of them are getting close to the end of their design lifespan

It's scheduled to arrive in Toronto (Union station) at 14.29 on Fridays, but the actual arrival time can vary significantly depending on delays along the way (it's the very end of a 4-day trip from Vancouver). In this case it arrived in Toronto after 17.00. Best to keep track of it using VIA's tracker (tsimobile.viarail.ca/ ), and get to the crossing when it's about an hour away from Toronto.
