Hard to believe that Doohan and Kelly were in their mid-50s, and they were looking at a bright future of a series of new movies... which is unbelievable at that age. They all deserved the success they achieved - every one of them...

I am 69 years old. My 48 year old son and I were talking about different hair products when this commercial came to my mind. When I started singing the song he bent OVER with laughter. He didn't believe me. I am sending the link to this commercial to him right now. Kids are walking around with their hair standing straight up on top of their heads. They need some Brylcreem. LOL

I’m impressed by how knowledgeable these actors were about the technical aspects of the Enterprise, especially James Doohan but also Deforest Kelly, who was able to point out exactly where the bridge of the Enterprise was located. It’s a shame Leonard Nimoy was not present for this interview, however I’m delighted Deforest was, because “Bones” is my favorite Star Trek character.

OMG! I miss Harlan! I would have loved to have made a counterpoint to his bitter 1976 assessment of Star Trek as mediocre. I think he may have mellowed his opinion later in life, but thank god he never got too mellow! Jimmy Doohan, De Kelley and Walter Koenig were magnificent, too.

DJI definitely wins in my opinion. When you turn around at the end of the driveway, it seemed to flow a lot better than the Sony did.

Thank you for sharing this video. Enjoyed seeing the part of the strip where the Stardust and The New Frontier stood. My uncle worked at the Frontier for many years until it’s closing. My family and I stayed there many times and as a young man I won my first $1,000 win on a Wheel of Fortune slot next to the buffet. Great memories 😊

This is great to watch. I was born the day the first series aired, September 1966, so I obviously came to it later. I was about 10 or so when i saw it on tv and was an instant fan. Then the first few movie came out which was must viewing. It wasn't until years later you find out the issues and friction that went on. The shows are very Shatner centric, and ego issues between him and Nimnoy, and probably others. But thats what you get. A bit dated now, but i still rewatch now and then. NB - Suprised how good STNG turned out.

Thanks for posting "back in April of 1982." I was there before Golden Gate even existed. The video store on the corner of Lander was a real estate office where my folks closed the deal on their first home. Others vids I've seen show empty ground where the theater once was. What a loss! At least you still had Kenny Kings (at the time). Nothing will ever compare to that restaurant in the '50s.
