When you’re working with polymer clay like sculpy you can brush on isopropyl alcohol to help remove fingerprints. 😊 these are adorable by the way.

Ok, I used the squishy resin in the lucky cat mold and it came out. Whew. The mold that it didn't come out of, I realized, was an ICE CUBE TRAY! It was clear so I forgot. I bet it wasn't 100% silicone. Or like you said, a different silicone. So my fault it stuck. So I tossed the ice cube tray and bought a new mold made for resin. I did have the squishy. Where's in separate from epoxy resin. I used a real resin mold. That was a cat's paw and I made the little beans to squishy and then I filled the big part with the resin and the squishy's come right off. So you have to really experiment with this squishy. Stuff to make sure you know what's gonna happen. So I value your video. Because it's helped me learn a lot about it. I saw what you did and then I was forced to think about what I did and I learned a lot. And that's why I watched these youtube videos. My husband complains it. I watch too many of them, but i'm not about to stop.

Hello, nice idea! I would suggest you put a thin layer of resin on the bottom and let it cure so when you go back and put the weights they don't show up as much :)

Just what I was looking for. Thanks for the info you shared. I think, especially for a first try, that your experiments came out great. Especially liked your peacock feather and wolf on the jar. I want to try this on surfaces that are not flat as well, so great tips on that. I can see it's something that requires a lot of patience. Do you have a link to the Etsy shop you got your supplies from?

I like the idea of making a clay one. I have some eco pour. Maybe I could make a it in clay or eco pour and then make a silicone mold. Na, that's too much work. I do have bunches of duplicate so will probably risk one. When I get a mold I love, I buy another so I have 2. If I ruin one a year from now I still have one. This insures I will never ruin any of the duplicates. LOL

I had squishy gel fuse to my mold. It was a thick silicone mold of cat's paws. 4 paws about an inch or so. What I did was I wanted to make the Toe beans a different color. I ended Up leaving the beans in the molds for about a week before pouring the second color. The stuff became one with the mold. There was no getting it out. It was white, the mold was same color, you could not tell what was mold and what was squishy. I'm not sure if it was the mold or the week. Maybe both. But then I made a little egg and unfolded it 12 hours later. It was ok. It didn't come out as easy as resin but it did come out. I had 3 egg molds so I risked it. I love this fortune cat and won't risk it. I'm saving this for resin.

I was really worried the squishy gel would fuse to my molds. I'm hesitant to even use it at all after seeing what it did to your die mold and hearing about your mat. I feel like they should have clearer directions and communication about what's safe for this stuff...
