In Nepal, the first country to double its tiger population, wildlife technicians work behind the scenes- taking control of conflict causing tigers.
Every year a huge investment is spent in the conservation of animals and environment. This is evident from Nepal’s tiger conservation efforts with it being the first country to double its tiger population through endorsing the 2010’s St Petersburg declaration in Russia. NTNC along with other environment conservation bodies, conflict causing tigers have been rescued and the rescue job is not easy as it sounds. This is not only the case of tigers. With changes in environment and climate, habitat and prey loss has been common, increasing human-wildlife conflicts in different places of Nepal. This has been observed in diverse climatic zones in Nepal, despite the country covering a small area. In this documentary we will take you to the journey of rescuing Tigers in Chitwan.
Hawapani Nepal in collaboration with National Trust for Nature Conservation(NTNC) produced this documentary. Over that time, Nepal has shown a remarkable presence in Tiger conservation, 2022 was the year for Nepal, being the first country in doubling tigers population . What's behind this story success? And what does it mean for the wildlife technicians to give their entire life for tiger conservation?
