What a time it was! Thk u for your dedication ✅💚🤍
Singing...maruza, maruza, maruza vapambepfumi!
You come and colonized Africa what did you expect you should have stayed in Europe
This lady's interviews are very informative and enjoyable. The part that got me was the cook boys poisoning people! This to me is scary you would need to have eyes in the back of your head to be alert to everyone and everything around you especially when your family could be on the receiving end of such behaviour who could you trust! But they got one of the baddies anyway in the end. Great interview all three parts.
I do wish we could hear from both races though
I appreciate your channel. Pkease domt stop
And a country that used to be a massive food exporter is now reduced to relying on food aid while being run by a bunch of murdering kleptocrats!
For the record the babe in the white shorts because semi famous for that photo and her devotion to Rhodesia
It was hard time in Rhodesia
Cliff Cole is his name. An old buddy of mine. Allan Jeffery
Mugabe destroyed this once beautiful country and even today the predecessor continues to do so at an alarming rate
What a waste of youth during that war.
Brave folk let down by the west. A neighbour told me the local blacks protected them in a raid when she was a child. 🙈
And they lied, the two never mixed. No blacks were allowed in white areas my dear, there's no way that could have happened. And the guerillas (neutral term) never raided, they moved in very small groups, the Rhodies raided the villages.
If you want to know how the Rhodesians achieved their famous 35:1 kill ratio then watch 'Rhodesian Fire Force: history's most lethal counter insurgency tactic - Teaching Tactics'
The US and UK should not have turned it's back on Rodesia. They turned it to the wolves.
This sounds beyond any type of happiness, I think I can understand love of the land but maybe not: why stay??
Thank you. WHY STAY?
That’s a crazy story but yeah, you’d probably be dead if your pa hadn’t made you quit. Thank you for serving.
I'm from US, but I'm drawn to Rhodesian history, I think it holds many useful lessons for today. From all I've studied, not just Rhodesia, but global history, what I've come to believe is Rhodesia was punished, essentially by the British Empire(The City Of London) for daring to seek independence. From a logical stand point, in my view, the USA and the West would've been wiser to fight with Rhodesia instead of fooling around in Vietnam. Rhodesia was a modern country with established infrastructure, sure some social reforms were needed, but that could've been handled peacefully over time instead of what was done. Sadly though at that time America was under the yoke of the City of London and they would not allow that to happen. I wasn't born until 1970 and it was all over and done before I even had ever heard of Rhodesia, but from what I've seen and heard, especially on this channel it must've been an amazing place. What might have been... Shame.
The Rhodesia Front attempted reform in 1964. They proposed 10 years of modernization in the Tribal Trust lands, the equivalent of high schools and vocational schools, in order for the blacks to be able to run their parts of the country and the country as a whole without having to rely on the whites for everything, followed by independence. What would become ZAPU agreed to this. Britain said "no, blacks in power now" and Mugabe told ZAPU "if you do this, we will treat you as if you are the whites" so they backed out. And thus, the Bush War began.
Thank you. Dodsington Farm Eddie and Moira Mostert. Hartley/Gatooma/Chakari loop road. Where at all can I research any possible news regarding these wonderful people. Or their kin? Please, and thank you.
Media won't cover any of this.
Britain, the US and almost all Western nations knew as soon as old school Rhodesians (whites and tribal elder leaders) lost control, the country would be trashed by savages. But the politics of the 1960s preferred the destruction of the country and people rather than be seen as racist. It’s worse now but live TV keeps the mob a little under control.
My wife and I went there in November 1970 for our Honeymoon
Thank you for the truth And bless you for your & all Rhoďesians fantastic resolve. I was there too.
What wonderful memories. I too grew up in Rhodesia and Northern Rhodesia. Yes, also went to Wankie Colliery mine. Thanks for sharing.
Damn, I couldn't imagine doing six weeks on and six off for conscription.
I salute those brave young lads. Wars are such a waste of young lives. May they rest in eternal peace. Respect😢❤
When I went to Paradise Island with my parents in 1958 we flew from Salisbury to Umtali and then to Vilancoulos. From there we went by boat to the island.
Thank you so much for capturing these stories. The official history isn't accurate and very misleading about what went on in Rhodesia/Zim. Is this lady still with us in 2024?
I can't remember exactly when it was maybe in the late 90s but I met a doctor from Zimbabwe in Atlanta. He was of Indian origin. I think he was there for a conference or trying to attend university for higher training, I can't remember. But what I do remember most is that he was dressed in a rather shabby suit and most telling was that he had a hole at the toe of his shoe. I was thinking - "what is going on that a doctor is dressed almost like a hobo with holes in his shoes?" But when he said he was from Zimbabwe I realized what a hell hole it had become where even doctors are poverty-stricken.
You really and truly lie. Zim got bad in the 21st century, a doc could not have been poor in Zim in the 1990s, unless there was something wrong with him on a personal level. Guys, gather facts before making fools of yourselves on social media.
I served in the British army and had a few guys from Rhodesia they were hard lads tough tough and great mates they came over to us to join the British army as once to county became Zimbabwe I think in the 1980’s. 30% of the guards regiments were these boys
Humble and awesome soldier.
God bless
Russian and Cuba trained terrorists disguised as Black nationals. Brave lady.
Yes I fully understand your suffering. I left in 1981 as I had three children and My husband passed away. My two sons had been beaten up then they demanded my daughter to come to them for their lustful pleasure. I immediately came to SA lost a lot of my furniture due to long fingers etc
Sold out by the world
Thank you for posting this. I wish I could have lived there - we are too soft and insulated in today’s culture.
“Our farm” gotten illy.. eventually all unfairness comes to light.
You guys are so intelligent
What a very intelligent woman
Sad story
long time ago but thank you for your service
All this to try and hold on to stolen land and a colony
Enduring all this pressure and stress just to hold on to stolen land by your racist fathers 😂😂😂😂
Imagine that. And 4 decades after they lost they still moan! Shame, the pain was real!
My heart literally hurts when I read these exRhodesian tales. People like Alexandera Fuller whose ability to weave magic with her prose and whose parents stayed there even after the war, they lived in a literal open air shack, but that says a lot for love of one's country no matter what.
Must be terrible, having foreigners all over the place, trying to kill you.
Währe die Welt besser wenn wir alle die gleiche Hautfarbe hätten?
Mugabe should have accepted a multiracial government. Zimbabweans would have been stronger even today. A breadbasket of southern Africa has become a begger
Nothing good can come out from hatred. Mugabe thought he was punishing the whites, but actually was killing Zimbabwe and zimbabweans. The origin of poverty in Zimbabwe
Kissinger - that souless criminal..... The world wanted Rhodesia to succumb to communism and be destroyed, for it was too strong and independent, and too free to be brought into the new world order. Never surrender your arms and the right to defend yourself - ever.
White moaning, they left Europe stole land and thought they could live a luxury life on another peoples continent. They should never have gone to Africa in the first place.
