Having that hose go to it's own smaller easy to change filter box might be a better way to go vs having the car's intake filters take the brunt of the oil. I gotta do this to mine...I am getting DPF errors now along with EGR issues etc. What kit did you buy?
@SaultiBalldeip I don't want to reroute the hose. In this position it's doing just fine. The airfilters are replaced every 10.000 km or 1 year, whichever comes first.
@@AlexAndreiZAR Gotcha, just brainstorming is all. Did you purchase this kit off Ali or FCP etc?
@SaultiBalldeip I bought it from a guy who didn't manage to install it on his car. Check my other videos on the matter. I have 3 videos on this topic if I remember correctly. Thanks
@@AlexAndreiZAR Yeah watched video 3...filters looked not too bad for a year of catching oil etc.
@SaultiBalldeip it catches the reminder of oil vapours. Most of the oil, if any is retained in the oil catch can.

Hello! To remove the timing cover is necessary to remove the oil pan? The oil pan have gasket or just silicon? Any info. Will be a great help for me!
Yes... you must remove the oil pan in order to remove the timing cover. On the top you have the head gasket and in between the timing cover and engine are 2 orings and gasket maker. Watch all the 12 parts for this timing kit replacement. Thanks
very nice! also when removing the door handle check the IR sensor for bad soldering, its a common issue. I fixed it and no problems with comfort closing/opening anymore.
Can you share link to what oil catch can this is
It's a generic one. I bought it from a guy who sold it online... sort of like from Craigslist in the US.

@Berti_00 no name at all. Unbranded. Chinese manufacturer I think. If you want a posh oil catch can go buy Mann Provent 200 series
Hey alex, I have headlight washing unit in my car but can only see 1 pump ? or why do you have two ? i have a sedan so I reckon one goes to the back too
I have 1 pump for the front and 1 pump for the rear. The 3rd pump should be for headlights. But you can also have just 1 pump for headlights and windshield. The only thing which I can think of is that 1 pump would not be able to provide same volume of water for windshield and headlights.
@@AlexAndreiZAR yes thats what I was kinda curious about, because I have to do the same job but guy at the MB dealer didnt tell me about the second pump or whatsoever so I dont think I have another one, unless he was being an idiot seeing car specificaly searching for parts with VIN number :D
@tomasfelsoci1650 mechanics, techs and guys from dealerships are ignorant. Not cause they want to... I think they just don't care to much. They just follow procedures without understanding how things work. It is easier for them.

He empalmado mal los cables o clavija?
I wouldn't cut in to airbox, even after catch can still miniscule bits of oil but 99% less. Why not just put the gas back where it was? No need to route to airbox put back in the Y
Seems you haven't understood the purpose of this modification. The purpose of this mod is to catch oil vapors in the catch can. What remains of oil particles will be blocked by the airfilters. Purpose of the y is to separate the path of the gases so that the crank case gases don't get into a high pressure to create other issues. The original design is wrong because the turbo sucks the oil particles like a vacuum cleaner. Then the oil particles spread and mix into the intake tract with the EGR particles. This oil and egr particle mix will result in soot build-up and clog the intake tract. This is a known general flaw with all direct injection vehicles petrol and diesel alike. Cheers and all the best. 👌
@@AlexAndreiZAR I have catch cans on all my turbo cars. Diesel especially. All are installed in line. No mods no air filter box cutting. Hoses only. In Australia catch cans are common, loom a provent 200

When I takeout the sensor, oil comin out fron the hole, was that trnasmission oil? Did i put to much transmission oil?
yes, that is transmission oil. Probably what hapens is that you have the speed sensor lower than the filling hole for oil in the gearbox. If a lot of oil dripped out than you need to refill the gearbox with the exact amount that dripped out. If quantity that dripped out is very small (just a few mililiters) than don't worry about it.

@@SuperCadou cum adica plug and play?
9103 9202 9123 91C3 I have these errors, and I can't erase them with diagnostic tool, only 9007 was erased. Can you please help me what can be the problem? Thank you. W203 2006 (sport coupe cl203)
Hi. Give me description of those error codes.
@@AlexAndreiZAR 91C3 electric ignition of the seat belt pretensioner of the left rear seat, resistance too high. constant value. 9202 electric igniter of the seat belt pretensioner of the right rear seat, voltage too low. constant value. 9103 driver's airbag electric detonator 1, resistance too high. constant value. 9123 driver's airbag electric detonator 2, resistance too high. constant value
@bsmobilecz the errors with resistance to high means that an electrical connector is faulty. Best remove it and replace it with another one or solder wires directly and then put a heat shrink tube to insulate. On the errors where you have low voltage you need to check battery output...and alternator output.
@@AlexAndreiZAR Thanks for your answer! Do I understand right that I should solder wires on connectors of rear seats, and on driver's airbags I should check outputs? How much should be alternators output?
@bsmobilecz battery and alternator output needs to be checked. Battery should have with engine off over 12.4V... minimum 12.0V. With engine on, alternator charge should be minimum 13.4V and maximum 14.5V. Again, where resistance is to high you either remove and install new electrical connector or solder wires directly. Cheers.

@@AlexAndreiZAR Finally the best tutorial I was looking for, congratulations, professional, I just changed the Mercedes 220 fin. I'm not a mechanic. I'm going to change the door. I have it complete and it's the same color. Can't you put it all on just by changing the key? Or do I have to put all the parts from the car to the spare one? I guess if not? Why would everything be through switchboards?
@@fuegozenit5412 you can keep your original parts from your car... the key is most important, the rest can kept from spare door.
My original door is broken and I asked you if, without touching anything, I can put the one from the scrapyard that still has all the accessories. Or do I have to transfer the things from the original to the scrapyard wing, does anything happen if I put the complete scrapyard one just adding the cylinder head? or can you see problems in the switchboard? It's just that I haven't understood him. In order not to work so much, I mean, or I have to transfer the wiring and installation from one to the other, everything is kept by the scrapyard, I repeat.
Good video, I wish you had taken video while removing the power steering bolts also. Also, where are you sending the pump for overhaul? My pump is leaking from where the power steering pressure line goes to (the place you mentioned where it is hard to take it out due to oring). The pressure line connector on my pump is slightly different as i think they install different adaptors for it and it is leaking from the adaptor that has four notches on it.
Thank you for the comment and the appreciation. The power steering pump has 3 screws. 2 upfront and one in the back towards the left side as if you are watching the car from front of it to the back. If you watch the car from front left wheel the screw would be perpendicular to you. It's hidden really well by some small electrical wiring. We have in Romania a lot of companies that overhaul power steering pumps. I need to be honest that in my case the power steering pump had no issues. It is OK. I just had to replace the power steering fluid expansion tank because the inside filter clogged up.
Thank u for video! 👍👍👍

So why in the world would you just cut the plug out and then solder the wires back together? Why wouldn’t you just fix the plugs make it so that it has a good connection again I’m not understanding why you’re going so far is to cut the wires in the plug out and then strip the wires down and started them together. Makes no sense to me just fix the plug. What are you doing to the system by taking the plug out? I don’t understand you’re confusing me with this whole thing.
You can remove the old plug and install a new plug in. I eliminated the plug and soldered the wires together to avoid the fault coming on again due to humidity or lack of a good electrical contact. Those electrical connectors are not the best in the world. Hope it now makes sense.
