@@Wandergatinho no such thing as better or best. Both very different. Mb classics has wood comb & no screws, only nails holding it together. Nice harp but not practical for beginners. Rocket plastic combs & has screws , easy to clean & open. Marine bands are not for beginners I believe

@@bravowild yeah well of course I know the fundamental differences. But these harps are similar in price so there often talked about as if they are on the same level. Everyone sees things from different perspective so what you think is fundamental might not be fundamental to another. What do you call fundamental? You prefer steel? Or brass?

@@CandidHarper Marine band series and 1x low harp session steel seydel. There is a distinctive sound difference between hohner and seydel even before anything else. The smaller chambers of hohner over seydel 1847 make the developing player move ahead faster in the same way a snooker player at home plays on tight pockets.However everyone throws air through differently. .9mm read is mandatory

@@CandidHarper I can't help and see this rubbish when it appears in my catch.Look ive been a pro musician all my life.Done sessions all over Europe and the states.Harp is not even my main instruments but sessions in studio many times. by the time I was 25 i could play in all 12 keys on a 10 hole harp, now in my 60s I have nothing to prove to anyone but spouting rubbish needs lol at because it is nonsense. The net is full of it not just you.

@@allenhawker3911 only been using the bending app lately. The bend it better one was in the past. I do think it's really good for responsiveness but bending app is the same.

I'm guessing your not a tongue blocker? When I got my first session I puckered then & I felt the same so it went in the drawer for a while but when I got half decent at tongue blocking it all changed. I'm definitely understanding what your saying if you pucker then yes it's a flat front. But I do know pucker players who play them well. But I'm hearing you for sure, they are not my favourite anymore. 1847 classics are much better

@@CandidHarper I do tongue blocking but a different variant - U-blocking - you get strong and very clean single note but it is hard to bend that way. So I use it for Irish music on solo tuned Session Steel and on some chromatics. But for bending I have to do a different embouchure - not exactly pucker because that too restricts your mouth muscles from bending. More like forming a channel through middle of lower lip (for lack of better description). I works on every harp - snadwich or recessed comb - including tremolos. But it barely works on SS. I hear what you saying maybe it is different for tongue blockers - that technique is completely foreign for me. PS. I am thinking about BlueMoon combs for existing SS and switching to 1847 Noble in the future.

I have a harmonica on me 24/7. It's helped me to just relax, harp becomes part of you. Practice belly breathing when in bed, walking, in bath, watching TV etc. inhale belly pumps up. Exhale let belly go down . This will excellerate all things harp

If you were doing a fox chase, for example, tongue blocking, then the three blow would be easier to articulate the two draw.

@@CandidHarper I've been playing for almost a year and a half now, and I'm honestly a bit frustrated with my progress compared to some people on youtube who have played for a shorter period of time, but are much better. I think the solution must be to get a rack and play harmonica while doing chores 🤣

Thanks I'll check it. But just just checking the paper work. Joe Filisko advises to go flatter on the -4' and flat as poss on the -2". It's to bring out the bigger tones. 👍🔥🎵........ But I'm certainly not saying I've got them right at this time. I don't like the way my -4' sounds

It's sometimes called a clicker. Provides a steady timing. So you can set it to what ever measurements you want. 60 beats per min. Or 120bpm
