I never heard Sarah before but I love her because she is pure and authentic. Unlike the “fakes” that call themselves Country Music today. Listen friends, I’m all for progression, moving forward and keeping things evolving. HOWEVER….When you have a genre of music so “definitive”, and at the same time emotional, and potentially life changing (at least it was for me) And Just because someone has a southern accent, or comes from the south, that DOES NOT make them a Country Singer. And just because someone sings about …wait for it….beer drinking, cheating and their Mama, Not even THAT makes them a Country Singer. Or maybe it does. It depends on the song and the music and the way the song is delivered. THAT IS WHAT MAKES THE SINGER. And listen, equal rights for women have made leaps and bounds, but let’s just be honest, women STILL….I MEAN STILL have to look a certain way, weigh a certain amount, and even act a certain way in their delivery in their performance. Whereas men can come out in the same T-shirt and ball cap they wore in their 9th grade photo and have a gold record by month’s end. 😂 Ok, totally extreme, but you get the point b/c let’s face it, there are a couple of guys that are on the charts right now that, in my personal opinion, DO NOT DESERVE IT. When you get so drunk and HIGH, and then cuss and yell RACIST THINGS AT THE POLICE , you lose ALL CREDIBILITY AND RESPECT. Not to mention, I have NO IDEA HOW IN THE WORLD THAT MUSIC MADE IT ANYWAY. I know….To each his/her own. But if people respected the craft like our beautiful Sarah here, well then we’d all understand my little diatribe much better! Heck people, I NEVER liked, nor understood the ‘ole “Achy Breaky Heart” look and sound. Not then, and now the look is just bizarre and kind of weird. I mean who is he? A man? Woman? Androgynes? Again….Confusing. What a world we are in! PS. Did I say I Love Sarah? 😜

Miss Patrick, I was sitting here this morning doing my work at my desk, and had some George Jones videos playing on my desktop computer in the background. Your video came up automatically, it started to play, when I heard someone other than the Possum's voice playing I initially went to skip your video-, but then I heard you start to sing and this old boy sat up in his chair and started paying attention! You can SING young lady! This is what country music is supposed to sound like!! Ol' George himself would've been proud to hear your cover of his song! I love country music and am so saddened by what passes for country these days... It is like they took the most beautiful thing in the world, my very favorite thing, and killed it. Ripped it's heart right out and killed it. I don't mind folks playing whatever songs and sounds they like, there is room for it all, but they didn't have to kill off the sounds that so many of us loved! It does my heart good to hear a young person like yourself staying true to the music that I love! I am writing to you today to ask, do you have any albums available? I would love to hear more of your singing! If you have any albums, just tell me where to send the money because I'd like to buy them! My wife and I don't listen to the radio at all anymore, we just upload CD's into our car's hard drive and ;listen to what we like, we also will put on Willie's Roadhouse sometimes.
