As a woman watching this, I’m trying to find a way to remove the stains that I have on my bamboo cutting board. I find your video. And I’m blown away that you’re teaching us how to wipe down our board with a wet cloth. This was incredibly un informative and possibly the most stupidest video I’ve ever seen I have stains on my bamboo. I need a real real way to clean it.
My bamboo board is 6 years old and has cutting marks with dirt inside. How do I get that off?
Question: I just bought a new bamboo cutting board, do I wash it first with warm water and soap, let it dry then apply mineral oil. Or should I apply mineral oil it first and then wash it after??
Did not have instructions to condition them.
I had a set of 3. I went to use the smallest after a few uses and cleaning with soap and water and as soon as I chopped my onion, the board broke in half. Next size was full of mold/mildew after drying in dishwasher(i washed it by hand).
I wash mine is soapy water and let it dry in my dishwasher. When I took it out, it had green mold or mildew on it.

I think you should rinse the soap off the board with a wet clean cloth (without soap on it) before you dry the board.
