As a BB fan from the mid 60s...I continue to be amazed at all the "bad vibrations" Mike Love gets from people. Brian Wilson has always been canonized as a "Saint" and Love the bad guy. Mike Love is as central to BBs music as anyone was in the group. I really have no doubts he contributed more to the music of the band that he will never get credit for. Brian Wilson is kind of the "classy dessert" that everyone loves...and Mike Love was the simple "meat and potatoes". Simple, plain but essential. Brian Wilson has been a joke onstage the last 40-50 years. Hey, I never saw Brian Wilson onstage with the BBs. He was too involved being a screwed up creative "genius" to do that.
