I wanna say thank you. I was getting very frustrated. I tried it high on my waist, low on my waist. With the short cord, with the longer cord. Side-by-side movement and one foot upfront. Turns out, I needed to change the direction of my spin. I started off throwing it to the left but it finally worked when I started throwing it to the right. Your tutorial helped me hone in on problem areas and now, after 3 days of trying to get this thing going, I was able to go 15 minutes straight!!!🎉😂👏🏻 thanks again for the tips!! I knew I could do it but you helped me “crack the code”!!👏🏻😂❤️

Hi. When I see these videos, most presenters aren't telling us plus sized people what size hoop to purchase. How does one determine what size (overall length) to buy (in inches)? They are a lot of choices, even though I know you can add/remove links.

My only struggle was trying to hoola hoop it with the thing too big. When it is tighter around waist it worked great but I used to do a lot of hool hoop with 2 or 3 sometimes. Hopefully something I can do during television and stuff when watch says get up. Keep taking out links until it fits cause you aren't supposed to hoola the thing around your waist. 😮

I absolutely love the 5 lbs with ridges. Of course the small hoop "feels" better, but as a Hoop Instructor for over 10 years, using the heavier hoop, my students have had much better results and a lot sooner. It's not to say the the smaller hoop is not effective, but it's just a matter of what you can do and the results you are looking for. I vote 3-5 lbs, just start slowly. I would love to colab with you.

I don't buy these results. The weighted hoop takes a lot more effort to keep up, it's also heavier and puts the weight into hulahooping. Smart hoops doesn't have weight nor the movement needed to keep up a weight. To me a smart hulahoop is no different than just moving slightly in place. I don't know if this comparison is just biased or what but those results just don't make any sense to me.

i watched other videos to try to get this started, i was putting the hoop on my hip and spent so much time spinning with my hand and got no take off ... then i watched this video and when he stated to move the hoop to different places from waist to hip area because people are different bodies and the spinning can be affected (makes sense) ... well i am good and i am able to spin while the hoop is on my hip area... i go for hours now ... i am having so much fun and less stress trying to figure it out.... thank you for the great tips .....

For the complainers... starting out lower is easier for others who are just getting used to the hoop, haven't worked out at all, or have a physical ailment that requires baby steps. To put it extremely blunt... you do you and let us do us.
