Indian Rockhouse Trail / Buffalo National River
In this video, we are hiking the Indian rock House Trail. We did the 4 mile loop although it said 3 1/2. If you skip the old zinc mine and the waterfall and took the short trail down and back, it would take a lot less time . Awesome  hike, i would highly recommend it.

I appreciate you sharing this video, I learned from it and enjoyed it. I will be hitting the Buffalo River on my kayak at the end of this month on a solo journey. My biggest concern is shuttling. Is there services for that on the Buffalo? Would I be able to get back to my truck, and could I leave my kayak somewhere trustworthy at my end-point?

@@thewildones22 Also, I am curious. Do you have to make reservations if you dont want a guide and have your own kayak and plan to camp? Is it necessary to wait for their specific launch times?
If you are not using an outfitter, you do not need to make reservations for floating. Camping on the river is free as long as you’re not within a half a mile of an established campground. The section from Ponca to Pruitt, there are three established campgrounds Steel Creek, Kyle Landing ,and erbie on the section you want to float. The campgrounds are first come first serve with a fee. There is no cell signal for most of your trip spotty towards the end. If you have trouble, I know there is a landline at Kyle‘s Landing at the bathrooms. Something I have done before is leave my vehicle at the BOC at Ponca drop your boat off. It’s a short hike back to the river and It’s free. Leave your keys with them If you do have trouble and need to exit the river early, They can bring your vehicle to you for a fee. kind of a nice insurance policy. I’ve had to use once when we had an injury. good luck this is my favorite section of the river it will be life changing! One other thing there’s a Facebook page called our Buffalo River. Check it out lots of photos and information on the river.
Yeah, at the moment, it’s not looking good as far as rain ,looks like only the lower section is floatable at the moment ,typically if you want to float the upper section you have to do it before mid June or just too low. It’s totally dependent on rainfall.
