actually its all in greg hands anyway he been shredding funkin since 1986 he is a testament that doesnt matter what brands of guitar he picks up lol , so are likes of ron thal, paul gilbert and many shrapnel era etc etc

I still have my Laguna LE400Q..was really amazing guitar..great punch!, really superb!..the alnico magnet kicks as*!..feel bad for the company..but at least i have one!!!..yes!

I owned and LE 300 back in 2014 but had to sell it. Very underrated guitars. I recently came across an LE 400QBL that was a train wreck, but got it really cheap! Took it completely apart and resurrected it. Frets were badly tarnished, the body was filthy and all of the screws needed to be cleaned and repainted. I also took the Floyd Rose apart and painted what wouldn't clean up. Then I buffed and polished the body to it's former beauty although there is some finish checking around the neck pocket. Now she's a keeper!

The fretboard material has ZERO affect on electric guitar tone.

That guitar is a POS and Greg Howe doesn't even endorse it anymore. He plays signature Carvin and Kiesel guitars.

Perhaps someone in CZcams land can provide some feedback regarding the LE924... From my (visual) research, it seems that there were two versions of the guitar: 1st edition: Headstock does NOT include a string-tree and the wood screws that anchor the selector switch are BLACK and the bridge is CHROME. 2nd edition: Headstock DOES include a string-tree and the wood screws that anchor the selector switch are SILVER...I have also seen videos of the guitar with a BLACK bridge. I recently purchased a used LE924 and it is without a string-tree, CHROME bridge and BLACK mounting screws. The serial number starts with 08 so I am assuming my guitar is from 2008...both pickups are DiMarzio. Perhaps someone can school me on the different variants of this instrument... Thanks in advance!

Sadly, these guitars are awesome but, never took off...I own one...very solid guitar.

That heavy riff at the beginning just make you wanna buy one of these guitars. But i transcribe the riff instead :P

how many times has howe said it's the best Guitar for him in his career? many. I can't really believe when he says it's the perfect Guitar for him.

This was one of the greatest quality beginner brands guitars that you could even take on stage and still rock the shit out of it. They are affordable and people look down on them because their name is unknown to the public, and their price range is low too. I still have the LE122 and it sounds great, add distortion and it keeps up with the tone. If you're in the mood for trying something new without breaking the bank grab one, their price is still going down, you could prob. grab it below 80 dollars.

Had the le400q. Amazing guitar one of the best I ever played. Got it for 150 at pawn shop. The pickups are really versatile

Very Schecter-y. They don't look like they'd be fun to play at all!

These guitars looks nice, but the Floyd Rose on those double locking models looks really cheap. They look just like the FR that came in a Cort x11 I had which felt cheap didn't stay in tune after some dive bombs.

Too bad they are discontinued, luckily one of these was my first my first electric guitar. It sounded so so, but when i threw in new pickups it really screams. Its just an amazing feeling guitar so if you see a used one, buy it!

LE924 is almost a perfect guitar, but, the bridge pup is too far from the bridge, and of course it needs the Original Floyd:)

finer or lower quality as these guitars, when Greg Howe playing with them, makes it all sound very good

i love greg howe! but these are just low quality, poorly made cheap guitars.

Laguna has better pickups and overall quality and it's even cheaper.

Yeah and there were actually 2 of them there! Idk why anyone would bring back two of them but hey they're in NYC's Guitar Center last time i checked if you are interested.

they go for 999$ on musician's friend right now... so that's a pretty good deal.. should buy it... if that was near me it would be in my living room right now.. i'd buy it in a second.. u don't see too many laguna's around here.. heck i've never seen one in my life except online in vids and images

Played a friends LE924 yesterday, couldn't believe how well balanced it is, and the neck is super fast and feels awesome. Made a believer out of me. I want one now!

Played this guitar the other day. Could buy it used for $500. Its a fantastic guitar. Some of the best dimarzios i have ever heard

and can't find them for sale anywhere.

When are the new models coming out? BTW the self locking tuners on my LE422 are the best locking tuners I have ever used, I never liked the idea of the thumbwheel behind the locking machines.

these are great guitars, and remeber that the sounds is in our fingers.
