Comparing NFL Stars to their Dads
zhlédnutí 8KPřed 14 hodinami
Family lineage in the NFL is a lot more common than you think. There have been some famous brother duos and famous cousin duos, but arguably nothing is more valuable to a family than a father/son duo who both stepped foot on an NFL field. But when you think of legendary father/son duos, who do you think is better most of the time? Is the father the better of the bunch, or is the son trained so ...
Meet the ORIGINAL Christian McCaffrey

LaDainian Tomlinson was not good; he was GREAT. His 11 years in the league resembled that of Christian McCaffrey. The difference: This man still holds the highest single-season TD totals than CMC and may have been better, too. Thank you for watching The Halftime Show! Did you know any of them? What did we miss? Jacobs has been one of the best running backs in all of football. He led the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards in 2022. In 2023, the Green Bay Packers were able to steal Jacobs away from the Raiders, awarding him big money for a running back. A backfield consisting of Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs will be one of the fun ones to watch in the NFL. You all know...

A rare breed. A great defense is the key to an elite team. And great defenses are led by all-time great defensive PLAYERS. The ‘85 Chicago Bears were led by Hall of Famer Mike Singletary, the 80’s New York Giants were led by Lawrence Taylor, and even recently, the 2013 Seattle Seahawks were led by Richard Sherman and the Legion of Boom. However, there is no better example of this than the 2000 ...

zhlédnutí 1,7KPřed měsícem
Why are running backs not getting paid? How can the NFL fix the running back problem? There are five simple answers to the NFL’s issue with running backs. We will discuss these in the first part of the video, but we will discuss the best way to fix the problem afterward. Philip Rivers was fun to watch over the years. He had a lot of kids with his wife. His dad was a football coach. It’s an interesting fact.
He was always just a fun player to watch. He never cursed. Never. His mic’d up moments are hilarious. Dudes got like 12 kids too.
I think it is pro nouneced sur tan
You’re right
Never a Chargers fan but I loved Phil. The Chargers could just never put it all together. Look at the infamous 2010 Chargers season. #1 offense, #1 defense and they were denied the playoffs because of a handful of boneheaded Special Teams plays. They had so many years like that.
Not just saying this being from Baltimore this man was the greatest middle linebacker to ever play the game somebody out there named someone that's better he was a tackling machine just ask Eddie George or Jerome Bettis he might have been the bus against other teams but going up against 52 the bus turned into a hooptie
Cool
Randy moss and Thaddeus moss
If he was a Raider there definitely would have been another ring...
I honestly wish him the best. Seems like a good kid. Raider Nation baby
You forgot Brandon rice on Jerry Rice
Seeing this after the SuperBowl makes me smile
Lack of elite speed for Marvin Sr.?? He was SUPER FAST 4.3 forty and played like it.. 😅
There is a pro wrestler that use to say this ? He said ..Best there is Best there was and Best there ever will be .. I think that is The Legion of Boom ' I don't think there will ever be another Defense like The Legion .
Although I’m die hard Eagles fan but this is amazing Joe Montana moment week 3 1989 season Eagles vs 49ers Eagles dominated for 3 quarters of that game Joe Montana led an epic comeback and defeated my birds 38-28
IMO he’s the GOAT!!!
Saw him play in his first preseason game vs Dallas. Was clearly David Woolley’s quick replacement.
My family moved to Florida from England in about 89 and so I’ve been a Dolphins fan since. A lot of letdowns, but Marino was a shining light the entire time he played. He made things happen that had me and my dad jumping around the living room howling!
Excellent memories!
He doesn't have to compete when he's the best
much love for Peyton and Eli, but personally, I think the Sedin twins are the best brothers in sports. Sure, they never won a Stanley Cup, but they were both so dominate during their careers, they got drafted together (by the same team!), they retired together, and they got their jersey numbers retired together. I think any brother duo would want that kind of career!
He did Deion’s athletic ability dirty by only mentioning him as a cb
He was the best QB to ever play the game, period. I know he has no rings - so what. He is miles better than anyone else that has ever thrown a ball.
The name is pronounced "sur-TAN." Of the greatest brother duos in all sports, the Baseball Hall of Famers Paul and Lloyd Waner; and Hockey Hall of Famers Maurice and Henri Richard outrank the Mannings. And what about the three generation NFL family, the Matthews?
the kelce brothers are better thanv the manning brothers
Haven't gotten to watch this yet, but such an exciting video!
Remember the Raiders NEVER had a good defense. His entire career the Raiders best defense was in 20th place. He took the 26th place defense Raiders to the playoffs, the man was given a ford focus to compete with lambos, Bugattis smh.
Dan Marino was the equal of or (much) better than any quarterback who ever won a Super Bowl. He was the fastest, most pinpoint accurate passer the NFL has ever seen. And remember, through virtually Marino’s entire 17-year career, no other AFC team won a Super Bowl, until Terrell Davis joined the aging Elway & Broncos.
Archie Manning was my favorite QB when I was a kid. When a game with the Saints was televised in my region, I was elated. I couldn't have cared less whether the Saints won. I was an Archie fan. He developed that rushing ability out of sheer necessity because the Saints brass gave him a trash line, and no one who could catch a football. Highlights do not capture how great he was. Some of his most amazing plays are nowhere to be found because many resulted in incompletions. In a typical Archie play, he'd evade a sack under heavy rush in unbelievable manner, spin 360, throw a perfect 40-yard strike... and the WR would bobble the pass and it would be an INT. Remember that Super Bowl where Pat Mahomes lost after running for his life all game and throwing "TD" passes that were repeatedly dropped? That was Archie's entire career in a nutshell.
You old💀
@@CVDucksphere Ain't no lie!
Lol at Pittsburgh passing on Marino over partying and picking Rivera who was just as legendary for pounding beers as sacks in his time on the south plains in Lubbock ( rip)
How good was he? He's the GOAT. Even Montana said so
Go Bears
Marino was the Mahomes of his day. A lot of similarities between the two. Marino was never the same after he blew his Achilles. They didn't repair them like they do, today. After the Achilles, he was a lot easier to contain. Before that, he was as elusive as he needed to be to make the play, much like Mahomes. Throughout his era, I think the top teams in the NFC were just too good in the trenches.
Jalen ramsey and DK
He is the greatest middle linebacker of all time
Yes Kyle Long played in the NFL too 6:06
Howie Long's two sons played in the NFL Jake Long a 1st Round 1st overall pick Michigan Wolverines drafted by the Miami Dolphins & Chris Long 1st Round 2nd overall pick UVA by the then St.Louis Rams but he won two Super Bowl Rings 2016 with the Patriots and 2017 with the Eagles 5:35
Marvin Harrison Sr was the real deal with the Colts 1st Round choice in 1996 the Syracuse University Alumni won a Super Bowl Ring with Peyton Manning in the 2006 season now that he's a Hall Of Famer I would love to see his son Marvin Harrison Jr the 1st Round 4th pick Ohio State University Buckeyes in the 2024 NFL Draft by Arizona can win a Super Bowl Championship too 4:42
Eli Manning to this day still remains as the only QB in NFL's History to beat the greatest QB and greatest coach of all time in the Super Bowl not once but TWICE 2007 and 2011 period 1:44
The Manning's are the greatest families in NFL's History without a doubt
Maybe when Cooper's son Arch makes it to the NFL; but as of now, it's the Matthews family - Clay Sr, Clay Jr, HoF member Bruce, Clay III, Casey, Kevin and Jake.
Up...and out
You forgot about Jeremiah Trotter sr and Jeremiah Trotter jr and Jerry Rice and Brendon Rice
Worthy mentions. Thank you!
@@thehalftimeshowfrank gore jr., Marvin Harrison jr. also rookies
Asante Samuel and Asante Samuel Jr Joey Porter and Joey Porter Jr
Who's your daddy?
That is too bad not winning any SB. He was still outstanding.❤ I watched him on anygiven weekend while he played.
Marino in today's league on a decent team would be a holy terror. His game was WAY ahead of its time.
second comment
Marino was terrible, He only made it to one Superbowl and lost. He was a regular season QB, but failed year after year in the playoffs. This is how you define a stat man, Other QBs make their teammates better. Dan never did that. Other QBs could have won multiple superbowls with those Miami teams. Imagine if Tom Brady was QB with the Marx Bros. Dan wasted many of Miami's potential good years. Terrible.
Who’s better Marino or Derek Carr?
@@thehalftimeshow Marino has more physical talent and a better arm than Derek Carr. Carr is tougher and smarter. About the same. Neither has a Superbowl win so about the same is to be expected.
most underrated football channel
G thanks
Way better than Brady
As a lifelong Jets fan, Marino was the guy I loved to hate the most when I was a kid - especially considering that the Jets were one of the teams that had passed on Marino only to draft a different QB named Ken O'Brien. Ken was a good QB, but never consistently reached the elite level of play that Marino did. I've always wondered how good the Jets would have been if they drafted Marino instead of O'Brien. Oh well. Woulda. Coulda. Shoulda. He was a great player and real Jets killer. I hated him (for killing the Jets more often than not) but respected the heck out of him.
Thank you for sharing Steven
This was a lot of work just to end up in another "just run it in" gut punch
