Time Crunch Put On Finding Your Golf Ball
zhlédnutí 407Před 2 lety
Most of the new rules changes that went into effect in January 2019 were geared towards speeding up the pace of play, and this is certainly one of them. According to the USGA, the time allowed to be spent looking for a potentially lost ball was taken down from five to three. Reasons for Change - Limiting the search period to 3 minutes is more consistent with the underlying principle that golf i...
The Rules Of The Teeing Ground
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 2 lety
Perhaps one of the most important rules to understand how the game of golf starts is Rule 11. Most golfers know to tee their ball up between the tee markers, but you may not know all of the rules regarding the teeing ground. SwingU instructor Josh Kelley runs through everything you need to know about what you can and can't do when teeing off. - The "teeing ground" is the starting place for the ...
Why Golf Course Aeration Is Important
zhlédnutí 2,1KPřed 2 lety
One of the worst phrases a golfer can hear before their round is, "the course was just aerated." However, aeration is a necessary part of keeping a golf course in the best possible shape throughout the season and over years of wear and tear. In order to better understand aeration, why it takes place and what its benefits are, we talked to Atlantic City Country Club superintendent Mark Beaumont ...

Four Options When Hitting Into Red Penalty Area
zhlédnutí 42KPřed 2 lety
When you hit your ball into a red-lined or staked penalty area, you have four options at your disposal. First and foremost, you can play the ball as it lies without a penalty, and you can ground your club in the penalty area as well. Your next option is to take lateral relief. Under a one-stroke penalty, find the spot nearest to where you think your ball crossed into the penalty area and take t...
Does Your Course Have A Local "Leaf Rule"? It Should.
zhlédnutí 2,1KPřed 2 lety
Playing golf in the fall brings an added element that can oftentimes complicate your ball search efforts: leaves. Under the Rules of Golf, losing a ball to an accumulation of leaves is the same as a lost ball, which requires a stroke and distance penalty unless your course enacts Local Rule F-14 Accumulations of Loose Impediments. Under this local rule, if your ball is known or virtually certai...

It’s related more to where you can take a stance than the ball’s location isn’t it?
You guys making a video describing this rule use the most non useful illustration known to men when doing this. You know good and well NOBODY has a problem with this rule when the Hazzard is in front of the Green so they can drag it straight back. The confusion is when the hazard is left or right and the green doglegged around where you can't see the Green or the point where it entered is facing the green so you have to drop deeper in the Hazard to play it in line with the flag. Show that illustration.
Thank you so much 😁!
I am commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique CZcams video that I watch for the rest of 2024, regardless of if I actually dislike the video or not. This is video 5631.
Why not set the slope on a scale of 1-100?
I had a case where a sprinkler was on my line but if I was not aiming at the tee it was in my stance. I could have played it without hitting the sprinkler but would have to go above so I took the wrong aim and declared an immovable obstacle because in that case, it was in my way. I'm wondering if this is correct.
Good explanation, I played for years before I understood any of this.
67 and walk and carry it’s a good work out
Just like so many other instructional videos. He says one thing but when you slow the video down and watch he does not do what he just said. There was no squat what so ever. I'm not saying that standing tall is bad or wrong but his reason for doing so is not evident in his demonstration. Moore is a pro and a very gifted athlete could probably hit great shots regardless how he stood.

5i distance multiplied by 36 is a much more accurate formula.. Ive been golfing about a year and I can drive 275 no problem but trust me when I tell you I have no business playing from the tips.. (5i) 185x36=6,660 (D) 275x28=7,700
Question: How do you measure your shot distance?
@@gwest40 rapsodo shot monitor
@@rdub907 -Thanks!
Let's say I got my 2nd shot into the water and decide to play again from the same spot, am I hitting my 3rd shot?
Stroke and distance, so your 3rd shot is the penalty and your next shot is your 4th shot
What if the electrical box is in the woods and the ball ends up behind the electrical box? Still free relief?
Short and simple 👍🏼 Thank you!
What would you consider "plenty" of club head speed?
Wow! This video explains everything that I have been trying to fix in my golf swing for the last few years!
Is this a Donald Ross designed course?
this is great! simple, short and helpful! thanks!
Good video, very informative. Currently watching The Masters 2024, so I was wondering what thing the players were placing down at the position of the ball was.
Not allowed to use putter? Isn't the driver the longest club In the bag?
If you use a chin putter or something crazy it would be longer

Great how-to video. Question; when filling out the score card I am getting an error message, "Double-Check Your Sections." The sum of selections is less that the selected score. No sure why I get this if I fill out what i did on the hole. Any advice or quidence would be greatly appreciated.
I was under the impression that you could only go back as far as you'd like on the flight line if it's yellow stakes, and two clubs away with red stakes?
Yellow stakes do not provide for a 2 club length drop area (lateral). Red stakes allow all the yellow stake options plus the 2 club length. Think of Red as Yellow + 1.
Thank you
When you bring it back as far as you want keeping the flag stick in line with entry. Can you improve your lie to the fairway?
Yes. Anywhere is the general area.
Lol what was the fucking tip?
A through line is also the view you have while putting or chipping. No one should be in your through line, ever.
I’ve never heard that but I like it
You will never see it violated in Pro golf.@@CSwivel
Great tip
Wow there is NO tutorial for using app on watch!!! Work on my iPhone but Iwatch has its problems.
That was interesting 👍🏻
what drills do you have to train yourself to stand taller?
dont forget -1) Umbrella - good for wet days and keeping sun off. 2) score card so know holes. 3) sharpie to mark your ball so can identify it. 4) small coin as a marker.
What is bogey rating and how is it different to slope rating.
In some circumstances, can you also take free relief from the obstruction playing a lefthanded stroke as a right hander, and then play your shot from the new position, right handed?
I didn't know Bill Clinton gave golf lessons?
😅😅
don't be a d*ck
I went through several voice-over videos that tried to explain slope rating and they were unhelpful. This video with an actual human on the screen explaining it was much better.
Good info for the honest golfer who plays by the rules but sad that there are so few of us, seriously! tRumpers all over the golf courses now! "In the woods 20 yards, no problem! Drop'er in the fairway with no penalty" and be sure to tell everyone you shot 68 and won the club championship when finished! Sick of it.....
Derangement syndrome strong here.... see John Daly's comments on playing with Clinton 😂
Do clubs need to makr this a local rule or it covers all golf courses
I think what matters is whether you can realistically reach every green in regulation distance wise. If you can hit a 220 yard tee shot and then hit a 160 yard approach shot then you can certainly play a 380 yard Par 4. But you shouldn't be playing from tees where Par 4s are regularly 400+ yards. Same goes for par 3s. If you have a 200+ Par 3, time to move forward.
This stuff flies right over my head
