I signed up for tekken university awhile back but I never heard nothing back.

So basically, everything you do can be counter-attacked but as the one on the offense, you get more for "guessing" correctly.

New Sub here - question: How do I counter Small Tekken? I understand that Small Tekken counters Big Tekken - but what is the counter to an opponent enforcing their Small Tekken on me? Whiff Punishing? Mashing?

Now Tekken 8 is literally this but 100x worse... Due to Heat being a mechanic that encourages brainless button mashing gameplay for the Little Timmies to easily compete. Freedom of expression and diversive gameplay is completely dead in T8, if the upcoming patch notes don't do it for me, then I'm dropping Tekken period. I'm thinking of just dropping modern games in general and going FULL ON retro at this point.

I still have hope that they are going to spring Tekken x SF some day... I think if its NOT a mainline Tekken game the community would be more receptive of the 2D fighters. Personally, I enjoyed fighting Akuma in T7. As an old head who's been playing SF and Tekken since way back, when they revealed him in the T7 main story it blew my damn mind and I was all for it.

I aint played tekken ball since tekken 3, but i don't remember the strategy being to stand at the centerline and get your ass beat lmaooo. We used to distance ourselves back, so the ball can pick up more power/speed. Why everyone in this tournament actin brand new? lol

I know bears are low tier but man they are annoying to fight. They fuck up your combos, have good ranged whiff punishes, and are just stupid looking

I'm not a competitive player who studies frames. But what I always did during my 25+ yrs of playing Tekken is go to practice mode and fight against the cpu to see how the AI uses the character. Then look up the moves the AI is doing in the command list and practice them

It will be interesting to see how the tactics evolve with the new charge strings and chip damage and new ch strings

Tekken 5 was the original DBZ of the series. Like what we see now in Tekken 8, the fighting mechanics got more intense in Tekken 5
