I'm trying to make kinema/ natto without the starter. I follwed your recipe. Mine don't look brown like yours do also I want to know what it tastes like exactly, I don't want to eat spoiled soyabeans. Mine smell like alcohol and tastes bitter without adding any condiments. Is that how it's supposed to taste like?

If I just go infornt of pala he will instantly recognize me, how can a man forget the kids he fed for free.. I mean u see that size that was 5 bucks a piece back in the 2000s and I was a sponsor chap so when I was in junior School I remember after shool we would run down to Elliott bend and then bum for grub, careless days but Pala u made us happy and these are the lil things this is just my story..... Yes it's true. Anything that we make in Kalimpong doesn't have that delicious taste when we prepare in places in South. I believe it's the climate difference and the absence of the town itself

so natto can be also made without natto starter..

Pork ta ghar maa paaleko organic local sungur mitho hunchha. Ek choti ghar maa paaleko khaayo bhane bahira ko bikaase sungur radish/carrot khaayeko jasto feel hunchha hai simma. Ghar maa paaleko boso mukh maa khaadaa chewy hudaina , kinda soft and melts. Nepal aaunu parchha ghar maa paaleko khaana :D

Does recooking after fermentation make vitamin k2 go away. As you have mentioned that natto is not recooked after fermentation. Whereas in kinema you do.
