Congrats! So there was coding involved in the assignment or interview even though it was for manual position? That's odd but I see it in my local job market too. Due to big competition from the candidates, companies will ask for more and more (automation, coding etc) for the possibility that they will use automation at some point in the future

feels like getting into door is one thing and doing the job is another thing, Even you do great in interviews, you may not be good tester and vice versa, i come into later category
