Don't forget to change resolution to 4k. Mine was on auto and it was playing movies in 1080/24. Now it shows 4k

My app struggles to play a song or album and has the endless message about something went wrong. I think it was a high school project without any testing. It also at times if it does okay music plays the wrong album but by the same artist. I found an app on Mac and it seems that it works more than my phone one

There is no true black in nature as far as I know so Oleds picture is actually cartoonish / over saturated

I rather have shadow detail, instead of perfect blacks that will end up crushing the blacks in heavy dark scenes.

The irony of this is that It’s hard to tell an edge-lit built as a flagship from an Oled, let alone a near OLED mini-led. The keyword is flagship. It is hard to tell Oleds apart from FALD Leds and near impossible to tell FALD from Edge-lit. You need special content to see it. In fact, you look for their defects (blooming, brighter edges, black crush or low APL), not their strengths to differentiate them. Whoa, this image is so much better is how you pick the LED 50% of the time. Why? Cause the image will look near identical especially during the day where even Sony engineers would not be able to tell Edge-lit, Direct Lit, FALD, Mini-LED from regular viewing distance. After all, our eyes are the worst tool for detecting black colors with ambient light. You can see it in the backlight, it’s so different when exposed but so difficult to see in the full image.

How to down grade may firmware upgrade, because I think my old iPhone XS ain’t have Bluetooth 5.3 or something that’s why they not connect in the app, and that’s the problem, I hope you get what I want

Bravia MiniLED was never gonna look better than their flagship QD-OLED models. Both the A95K and A95L are the TV’s to beat.

The fact you got a reply from Value Electronics “directly” is a - to my mind - a badge of honour! Take a bow! Suffice to say my next tv will be another LG / C4 but at 77 inches. My daughter has dibs on our 2020 CX 65 regardless of how much time is left on it (even at 12,000 hours which it just passed.) Had I let her, she and her husband and 3 chipmunks would have taken it off the wall a while ago. I am making them wait until Black Friday / Christmas pricing.

I saw the same show at Gentec...the Bravia 8 didn't look so good at the show. I asked the trainer if all the TVs were setup similarly as the 8 was too dark, missing some details in some pictures and so on...what do you think?

Sony's new flagship BRAVIA 9 QD MiniLED does not have pure black, but does have near OLED blacks. Also the BRAVIA 9 has very minimal blooming. It's the best LCD, but still not as good as OLED in regard to the pure black that only OLED can render and the emissive display technology with it's benefits. With that said the BRAVIA 9 has some advantages over OLED, mostly due to the very high peak luminance capability and near blacks that gives all images from all content a perceived higher contrast with more depth and detail with all images. Also the BRAVIA 9 has Sony's new 2nd generation of the XR processor that was perfectly tuned to take full advantage of all of the BRAVIA 9's exclusive advantages; as is Sony's new 2nd generation of the Backlight Master Drive. The new Backlight Master Drive not only controls every tiny MinLED, but now also controls the luminance level of every MiniLED as well as the QD color rendering. All other backlight TVs only control the large local dimming zones. It is true that the BRAVIA 9 has a OLED premium look and with significantly higher peak luminance.l

Both are great as long as they are not compared with each other. If they are compared, you will never be completely satisfied

You need to call your calibrator and ask your money back, those offset settings will totally mess up your near black white balance, you need to check the contrast and 1-2-3-4-5% ire gamma and grayscale tracking, its a typical ISF/ PVA textbook calibration clusterfuck that makes more harm than good. And no we cant see that the black is black on pop demo material like that, it makes even a DLP look black. Everybody opening up the JVC menu and finding Offset adjustments like that and the blue picture tone at -9 should have an alarm bell ringing, knowing that will not be worth looking at for evaluation. Lets hope someone will review multiple production samples and actually make objective useful measurements and include black uniformity measurements and paper test pictures, and not least test the white uniformity in max contrast setup -15 iris, to see if they have corrected the design flaw of the previous 4K models with low iris settings making very very bad white uniformity distortion. And has the issue with dust on the panels been solved, specially effecting those ceiling mounted.

DO NOT UPDATE TO THE NEW APP !!!! This new app is a major step backwards - kind of surprising that it is released???? I have 9 speakers and he old app worked fine - to play different music on different floors. This new app is so complex to try to select different speakers - and then have it work. I get a lot of ERROR messages. And to individually adjust volume is a hit and miss. We have two newer iPhones - and we have to hit the volume buttons some 6-7 times to get a response from this new app. (its as if the screen does not feel the touch) The old app had no such problems. PLEASE BRING THE OLD APP BACK !! Last 7 years I have got my friends into SONOS - this app will stop me recommending SONOS. Please do something rational here. !!!

a negative review again, trust me the s95d is an awsome tv and the screen works so well, if your gaming on a pc then HDR 10+ is the way for you its the most supported, and you wont mis dolby vision too

Thanks for these tips, it has certainly improved my viewing experience of 4k HDR discs. I wonder what you thoughts are about this: I find that 1080p discs upscaled by the player look sharper than 4k discs. It has almost put me off buying them. Is that odd? Or perhaps I'm doing something wrong. I have paired my UB9000 with a 65 inch Samsung S95C. Any comments welcome!

Hey. Im in dire need of trying to get my HT4550i to play 3d bluerays from my PS3. I didnt have much luck from Benq customer support. I have the right 3d glasses, a HDMI cable that wouldnt have issues and of course the 3d Blue rays. I cant seem to figure it out. My next step is getting a 3D blueray player but want to avoid that. The 3d always looked sick on my 3d sony tV so I know the PS3 worked. PLEASE HELP.
