Brainless, it amazes me how some of these so called company executives retain their positions, when in doubt put the price up… the chairman’s happy the banks happy. Alton Towers are even happier…. Greed has overtaken need in the corporate world, it looks like another creaking gate. It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a VC involved or has been.😢.

I guess I got lucky, did Red Force 7 times (without express pass). By the end of the day, when you got out off the ride you could just run back to the queue and be back on Red Force is a few minutes. There really is nothing like a front row night ride on Red Force.

I went a few weeks ago for a day out and was going to have a walk round the pleasure beech. It was after lunch and they were closing at 5. For £50 there was no way I was going in. Very disappointing.

Blackpool should be the Las Vegas of Britain. And look at the state of it.

Blackpool was a family destination when I was a kid, now it's mostly piss ups and debauchery.

Curious to know your thoughts about what happens to harry potter world in watford if universal build in bedford. Assume they would do a same build as other parks inc hogwarts castle. I thought the brand was on lease to leavsden studios? As its not run by universal?

We came from the Isle of Man with our 5 year old, paid 35 pounds each then about 30 for our son, was told to book online as it's cheaper the night before. I asked specifically would the blue flyer be open, only real ride my son can go on, yes, next day, board says unavailable all day. They offered to refund us but we can't just go back the day after. Bit yes I paid full price to go on children's rides with my son, my husband went on the good rides!! 😂

I was talking with a guy who runs another buisness in the town and knows his stuff, told me the real reason the free entry was stopped.

I can't believe Steeplechase in Blackpool is not mentioned more. Man that ride was so rough it gave me some bruises on the hips 😅

I thnk the reason they dont have more late opening, is the residents living near the park complained about the noise so the park ageed to only limited night opening to keep them happy.

The notion that you have to pay to walk round a seaside funfair is nuts. Granted, not every one who does go in will buy ride tickets, food or drink, or gifts and souvenirs. But it's guaranteed that 100% of the people who *don't* enter will not be spending a single penny inside. They might be able to count the gate receipts from ticket buyers, but they will never know how many people walked up, saw the prices - and just turned away. They are literally shutting themselves off from casual passing trade. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Go to Luna Park at Coney Island in New York, or Dreamland in Margate - iconic attractions that you don't have to pay a cent to walk into. Consequently people do walk in, in their thousands, and spend money, even if they don't ride.

There really isn’t much there for your average person on a day out Nobody but the enthusiasts want to rid those god awful dinosaur woodies. Really what has it got, 1 top class coaster and 1 top class dark ride that’s it

Lived here for 50+ years & it's been on a downward spiral for all that time. Interesting fact...the Fun House was in the way of the Big One being built. The Fun House mysteriously burned down then the Big One went up 🤔

My 70s childhood resolved around a trip to the PB being the highlight of the year. The sounds, the smells, the utter excitement. I loved that place and had a shot of every ride, height permitting. My favourite was the rockets, you always thought it was going to fly off! Changed days now with the charging for entry, I remember the first time you had to walk through the entry gate instead of just wandering in, I could sense big changes coming.

With Minifigure Speedway, I would say there is a difference between the two sides intensity. I did two rides on 'team all stars', among the first to ride. My second visit i got to try 'team legends', found it a more smooth layout going back. Then did 'all stars' directly after. I think all stars is more jolty on the corners, giving more of a thrill factor. I've ridden Minifigure multiple times since. You can get a choice in team if you ask on a quieter day. When I first went on Minifigure, I had a limited number of coaters that I had been on. Mostly from Legoland, the Dragon is a favourite. I had been to Chessington once but I only did Rattlesnake as Vampire scared me and runaway train was closed that year. Rattlesnake also scared me but I somehow found myself on it. Saw Hyperia day before it opened, more into family thrill rides so in no rush to ride it.

Chris, a question my son wants to ask. What's your top uk coaster and why. Do top 3 if you want because he will only ask me what's your second and third best. X

I am from the U.S. (my home park is Cedar Point), but my family and I just got back from 2 weeks in the UK. We were lucky enough to get on Hyperia and you are right to be excited for that stall! Better even than the stall on ArieForce One - and I really loved that one! The Hyperia stall goes on foreverrrrrrr and the view is spectacular. Hope you can get on it soon! Love the channel by the way.

Great vlog btw! 👍 I went on Wave in March but never went on shock wave. First rude of morning we waited bout 10 minutes. Went straight back on n took 3/4 of hour. Went back later on and it broke down, no communication, went again n took hour n half. Staff had to check restraints (quite rightly)each time but I think this took too much time. Other than that ride was brilliant

MYy wife and i used to take the whole family ,every year we all went and i paid for tickets for everyone, drinks, hot dogs,burgers and my wife and myself just walked around and watched the grand children a great day out was had by all ,the year after we all went as normal and you had to pay for everyone at the gate wether you were going on the rides or not decided not to bother walked along the front and spent our money elsewhere,fish and chips sea food and an odd pint,none of us have been since,there are plenty of places to spend our money and i can say for future years none of it will be spent on Blackpool pleasure beach.

well its overpriced for rides also its a dump pay at the gate naw not going there again

15 quid to ride icon.... Jesus!!!! I think the last time I was there a fiver was the most expensive. Sounds like the demise of the pleasure beach resort, sadly.

One of the issues with low numbers , is for years they allowed coaches to park on the carpark for many many years and during illumination weekends the coach park/car park was full , People were getting off our coaches using the loos grabbing food and drink went in the park for free then decided to do some rides......Thats all gone now and have noticed how empty the car park is now .......

This is all building up to closing the place after they have milked every pound and selling off the land. We were coming that way in our motorhome later in the year. I’m 73 and love all the rides. My wife is 70 and would get giddy just looking at the prices. I’m not paying £100 for us to get in and I ride while she watches. We will not be coming now after seeing your report. Thank you.

I'm afraid since Geoffrey passed away the park has shunned thousands of loyal visitors that returned year in year out by its admission policies. Parents and grandparents have long memories of how things used to be and this is why the PB is now being punished by it's low foot fall.
