This is my spearfishing compilation of my best catches over my years of diving. This video has a verity of spearfishing on many different Hawaiian islands. Most of the fish harvested are from my home on the island of Maui. Every one of these fish were eaten and enjoyed by me, my family and friends. Mahalo for watching.
Many of you by now have probably heard about the devistating wildfires that have happened on my home on the island of Maui, mainly effecting Lahaina and Kula. Almost everyone has been effected in some sort of way by these fires, some have lost everything and many have lost their lives. My uncle and auntie and their 3 little kids have lost their home. If anyone is able to donate to these people effected directly effected by these fires I will put some links down below if you are in a position to help. Mahalo and stay safe everyone.

Word of advice, big ono go for the head shot. Better chance at turning there head on long runs.
@@ebadd3468 this gun I was using a flopper shaft.best shot for a flopper shaft is in the tail more ligaments less likely to rip off.

Hi nice shot any tips on how to hold my breath that long do I need to run more or something like that? It’s amazing how long u stay down for any tips? Or workouts you do.
@@kivqzw6886 It’s all about consistency and being relaxed. I dive every week and the days I’m not im always stretching out my diaphragm. Mainly it’s about your breathe up. Don’t move a muscle when you breath up every little moment of muscle is using up your oxygen.

Great and very informative, I’ve been on the fence as to what to build. Think going with the double roller muzzle and the second set of shaft and bands gives you the best set of options.
Hi I’ve never had a speargun but I’m thinking about buying one, but is it super complicated to reload because all of the line and stuff and what cm gun is a good choice for a beginner I’ve only been using 3 prongs🤙🤙
You should start out with maybe a 100cm speargun. They are pretty simple guns very easy to reload. I would recommend a conventional muzzle gun Kap spearguns are a great option out of Hawaii
Great video! Do you mind sharing what rubber setup you use for the single and double? I assume thicker diameter for double if you find it harder to load
I use 2 14mm reactive rubbers for double roller and 1 16mm reactive rubber for single roller

wy use a bigger diametr speer? i think the smaler ones are faster and penetrate more easyly?

So the single roller I was using a 7mm shaft. The double roller would overpower a 7mm shaft causing shaft whip and loss of range and accuracy

Could you explain a little what the role of that reflective “lure” you have hanging off the surface is? I am a grouper hunter and only now starting my blue water stuff so want to learn!
We use those flashers mainly to attract Pelagic species like Onos or mahi mahi from a far. We use them while doing drifts when we are doing drops to the bottom mainly for ukus. The flashers also do bring up the uku in some areas but it’s mainly to get those bigger pelagic species interested while we are chumming up the water.
