Hey Phil, On the product description listed as a feature it states, “We've taken the arcade experience to the next level with our newest feature: a slimmer, lighter design that makes this deluxe edition even more irresistible.” I don’t know if they’re hiring kids straight out of college to market these products but being slimmer and lighter is not a positive thing for arcades. They were already functional and had stability issues before they made them “slimmer and lighter.”

I'm finding plenty of NBA Jams on FB Marketplace of late. I'm thinking I'm going to go that route. I also found a Marvel Super Heroes full size cab...he wants $250 and I think I'm gonna offer $200 since it's been up on Marketplace for 7 weeks

Hi PhilO and LokiO. AngelO says keep eyes out for the cabs you want, this might be the beginning of the end for the cabinet designs you want... Since ThinkUP is the real designer behind most of the cabinets and they broke up it, it could be something with the designs going forward. Do you have White Castles near you, I miss those too, I am pretty far from Cincy but I do miss the food, Godfathers pizza is another one.

I just hope, and pray A1up isn't going for a new formfactor, in the form of the skimpy looking cabs with the stupid little step hanging off the front. In that formfactor, we're no longer in the 3/4 scale class. More like 60% scale. Nice find, with that topper! Thanks for the video. :)

Hey Phil! Thanks for confirming my concerns about the “New” Arcade1Up NBA Jam form factor. At 61lbs with joysticks that thing is going to flop around like a fish. It seems you didn’t have to put much pressure on the Casinocade to make it wobble. And man that foot pedal you’re supposed to stand on to keep it in place while you’re playing is just smh. Looks like you knew right away looking at the Casinocade that the new nba jam is not something you’d be interested in. Rumor has it that they repurposed unsold Casinocade pedestal parts to make this arcade inaccurate design. There’s no passion or nostalgia in this new form factor for me. I’m wondering if Arcade1Up is indeed owing a large debt payment this coming Fall. If that’s the case, where are these sales? Why sit on 4-year old inventory at retail prices? These are priced to sit in stores not be bought. Makes zero sense to me. It’s like they priced these things to stay relevant. What are your thoughts Phil?

I would love to go there. It's roughly 450 miles from my house though. Maybe this would be a stop during my next vacation.

If A1up goes out of business, I would assume all of the online will disappear. That also means the casinocade will no longer work.😲

I'll be upset with the wife if that Wheel goes on a big sale. Just got it yesterday as it was something she wanted. My thought was since it's clear A1UP is swirling down the toilet bowl, online will be all over. Which you need to unlock the other games on Wheel. So I reluctantly pulled the trigger so she'd have time to unlock. So I just preordered my long awaited NCAA Football 25. June 19th baby!

I got to thinking about the new 2 player NBA Jam and the vision I have in my head is, it looks like a chicken with all it's feathers plucked off. lol What a horrible and ugly designed cabinet. It is for sure going to be an epic fail for Arcade1up. Glad you decided on not getting it. What were they thinking when they came up with that turd? They for sure need some Gen X guys to take over. It says shipped from America and a 3 day shipping window. I didn’t have any desire for that cabinet but I saw it in a house I was installing a ceiling fan and kind of like it. I’m thinking I’m going to pull the trigger on PacMania. Do you think it’ll go lower? Wise decision on passing on the new NBA SlimCaddyCade. Awesome video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Funny enough the nba jam im almost positive is lighter than 66lbs , pretty sure ppl said its 61lbs! I guess we're lucky because even though i think thats the deluxe form factor going forward , all they're going to make is rehashes anyways so we won't have to feel bad. Watching u walk through hobby lobby is always a good time i wish i had near me. We're getting an ollies over here real soon so hopefully i can find some blowout deals on 1ups.

back in England my old man he loved Star Trek , every night it was on at tea time . I loved Star Trek generations that came about early 90’s. TJ hooker a firm favourite Phil have you seen it. the 80’s for me were where it started . Apart from the one billion bionic man doll haha late 70’s. The Nickelodeon artwork classic early 90’s love it ❤

hey phil, good memories. i still have my Sega Cd and 32x with some games. i love the Star Wars chess but the cartridges work but the cd player stopped. i would like to get it fixed but i haven't found a reputable place yet. have a great day.

Got some good stuff there over the years. Supa Boy Black Gold edition, Neo Geo Mini, Super Famicom carts.... I picked up a Genesis Mini 2 there. Better line up than the first in my opinion. More sleeper hits and Sega CD games as well.

Those places are great … it’s like a museum of our childhood but you can buy what’s on display! And I was all about the Sega Genesis and even had the joystick & buttons controller bought extra back then. Vectorman was my game and soon I’m going to start the journey to a Vectorman themed multicade (AtGames Legends Ultimate based) and then we went GameCube and Wii … never got anything past that though Thanks for a great vlog today!

Dude holy smokes I would go nuts in a place like that. lol Funny you mention that Dukes Of Hazzard watch as I have every different watch they produced minus the calculator watch which is super rare and hard to find. I actually daily wear my Dixie melody musical Dukes Of Hazzard watch and wear the video game one on the weekends. And yes they made an actual Dukes Of Hazzard video game watch. lol I have a lot of stuff pertaining to the TV show including many different types of General Lees, a General Lee beach towel from '81 that I want to get framed at Hobby Lobby sometime. If you couldn't already guess The Dukes Of Hazzard is my favorite TV show of all time. I was at the fresh age of 4 when the show first dropped in January of 1979! Anyway you didn't mention the Super Gobots one of them being Bug Bite the medium sized yellow VW Beetle. I have him MIB as well as quite a few other Super Gobots. It would take so long to type what I have in my collections. I have toys from the 80's including, Transformers, M.A.S.K., G.I.Joe, Star Wars (bust mostly Power of the Force from the 90's), Hot Wheels and other die cast cars. Also I have a huge handheld video game collection spanning probably around 200 or so. That also doesn't include the video game consoles I have which is over 30 original ones and several hundred original physical video games. All that mentioned doesn't even scratch the surface for what I have. lol Hopefully you don't take it as bragging or showing off as I just wanted to share.

I have almost every gi Joe and most vehicles and bases. I even saved all the boxes. I’ve got a disassembled aircraft carrier in its original box. I can’t believe what that stuff sells for, but I just can’t part with it. I’ve sold a few things over the years and I ALWAYS end up regretting it. I always think of the replacement cost. Because eventually, I’m going to want the stuff back. It’s easier just to keep my originals. I’m so grateful I still have all my childhood Lego sets and action figures and video game systems. I’d hate to have to track down a Sega CD today. Everything is so expensive. Fortunately, my brother doesn’t have any interest in our old stuff, so I’ve transferred everything to my house. GI Joes and Legos were the most consistent things when I was a kid. I’d have a couple thunder cats, a few Visionaries etc. I’d sample just about every new toy line (and there were A LOT of them), but I’d always end up coming back to GI Joe. For one thing, they had little guns. But I think their possibility made them more fun to play with. Whenever there was a Batman figure available I’d get it, because I love Batman, but they weren’t fun to play with because of the terrible articulation. We’re living in an action figure Renaissance. Basically, every toy line from the 80s is back, but with modern paint application and articulation. I can’t believe the 6” gi joe line is real. I just got 3 beachhead figures from BigBadToyStore. That was my favorite 3 3/4” figure as a kid. Anyway, I’m rambling. I had dental surgery and have been awake for almost 48 hours because of the discomfort and medication. So, I’m a little out of it. I mostly feel better, but for some reason I still can’t sleep. Oh well. It’ll happen when it happens. Signing off.

Hey Phil! This store had me thinking of all my action figures I’ve probably lost or thrown away over the years. I probably have a ton of stuff in the attic that these kind of places would buy 😂 Saw you left with a Nickelodeon wall decor - was a nice pickup. I have been meaning to send you a little gift but you know what I’m going through right now. It’s been hard to leave the house 😢

Sectaurs by coleco. They had this great ad campaign where each ad was a chapter in a story. Look up Sectaurs toy commercials. Some of the chapters seem to be lost, but most of them are on CZcams.
