The Bicentennial Train was an important part of Australia's Bicentennial celebrations in 1988. We got to see it coming through Greenbank near Brisbane. Of course this is old VHS video I shot at the time so its not today's quality.

Songkran in Thailand is all about having fun nationally with water. It has other meanings too, but for the average foreigner, it is a way to see life from a remarkably different perspective and to let a few of our western hang ups go - if only for a day or two!

This is a memory for some wonderful friends of a boat trip to the big cave at Dolphin Bay, which ended up being a bigger adventure than we bargained for. We hired 2 boats - one was not very good :-) Made more interesting by having 5 kids on board!

We had one of the first VHS portable video recorders and although it was cumbersome, it allowed me to video the outside world. But as you can see, compared to today's digital recorders, the quality wasn't there. Those who live along the now closed Toogoolawah line in places like Esk and Lowood, may find some interest here.
