There are a few alto tracks for practicing LOOK AT THE WORLD on CZcams, but this one is defnitely the most helpful. On behalf of my wife, thank you for your lovely singing and posting.
I hope that they understand the meaning of the song, they did a nice performance, greetings from Philippines.
Would you mind to sing the bass dahil sayo
yourvoice is so beautiful i started tearing up.
I'm quite sure that's an appogiatura (suspension or slow grace note), not an acciaccatura (fast grace note), on "vain," effectively breaking the word into two quarters. Listen to some professional recordings of this; they all perform it with an appogiatura.
So glad I found this. Thank you!
merci beaucoup pour cette leçon !

In my heart's sequestered chambers lie Truths stripped of poet's gloss. Words alone are vain and vacant, And my heart is mute. (In response to aching silence memory Summons half-heard voices,) And my soul finds primal eloquence and Wraps me in song. Wraps me in song If you would comfort me, Sing me a lullaby. If you would win my heart, Sing me a love song. If you would mourn me and bring me to God, Sing me a requiem, Sing me to heaven. Touch in me all love and passion, Pain and pleasure, Touch in me grief and comfort; Love and passion, Pain and pleasure. Sing me a lullaby, a love song, a requiem, Love me, comfort me, bring me to God: Sing me a love song, Sing me to heaven.
You did so good thank you!
👍👍👍
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo Tell me, where is the road I can call my own That I left, that I lost So long ago? All these years I have wandered Oh, when will I know There's a way, there's a road That will lead me home Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo After wind, after rain When the dark is done As I wake from a dream In the gold of day Through the air there's a calling From far away There's a voice I can hear That will lead me home Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo Rise up, follow me Come away, is the call With the love in your heart As the only song There is no such beauty As where you belong Rise up, follow me I will lead you home Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo

First of all, thank you for posting this! You are angel from musical heaven! I missed several rehearsals to my choir practice due to work commitments. (Shame on me-but we do what we can) But I know my director will forgive me if I know my part and I am ready to sing. Eventually I hope grow to be less dependent on other musicians but that is coming. In the meantime I need to rehearse my part and your post made it possible. It’s like I grabbed one of the ringers in our choir and asked them to hammer out the notes to my part. You did me a solid!!! Please pay no attention to that previous comment. I know there is standard of perfection on social media. But your mistakes make the connection more tangible human. Peace & Blessings, DBW
Alto 2 pride, Carnegie Hall performance 2006 y'all although to be fair we didn't sing this song
thank you so much for that.we have the road home this year to prepare for our concert.
I'm singing this in a UU church choir next week & this has been a tremendous help in improving my part as an alto :-)
More Filipino songs Please Filipino Pride
I really love how you sing your high notes.. effortless!
Tell me, where is the road I can call my own, That I left, that I lost, So long ago? All these years I have wandered, Oh, when will I know There's a way, there's a road That will lead me home? After wind, after rain, When the dark is done. As I wake from a dream In the gold of day, Through the air there's a calling From far away, There's a voice I can hear That will lead me home. Rise up, follow me, Come away, is the call, With the love in your heart As the only song; There is no such beauty As where you belong: Rise up, follow me, I will lead you home.

So happy for this! I was asked to join my schools select chorus last minute for a concert they didn't have enough people for and thus helped a lot
