My wife and I, our 2 boys, My sister and her daughter, my mum and my father-in-law, all came and stayed on the island overnight via Dept of Conservation). My wife and I and my father-in-law got up in the night with torches and went for a walk. That's when you see the penguins, they sleep in their burrows during the day, prob because of the heat? And the bush and tracks were heaving with wetas, not the big ugly kind like in the motel, but delicate-looking ones that could jump about a metre, and had antenna that seems to be twice as long as their bodies. Cool as. The penguins looked at us all confused, like we were the ugliest penguins they'd ever seen.

if you are in the area, head to bens buns in paraparaumu beach, they are the best pies i've had, you also need to try hell's pizza, insanely better quality and taste than domino's and pizza hut

although i have never been to the u.s and tried their domino's, we probably have a better and more unique selection of pizzas, however i will always prefer (despite the price) Hell's pizza over the other 2 major chains, way better quality and overall experience is way better

My fav fast food is Indian and Asian. Never been a big fan of chips and burgers. I did like KFC a while back but in my opinion it's not as nice as it was 20 years ago.
