Build a heart puzzle box for your loved one
zhlédnutí 389Před 5 měsíci
This is a heart shaped puzzle box I built for my wife a few years back. I found the idea in "Beautiful Wooden Gifts You Can make in a Weekend". There is a link below for the book on Amazon using my affiliate link. It is out of print but you can probably pick up a copy second hand. The puzzle mechanism is similar to that of the UnaBox that was published in Make magazine Vol 20. Beautiful Wooden ...

wooden heart shaped greeting card for valentines day

Wooden heart shaped card I made for Valentines day 2018. The message does not have to be inscribed on a CNC. I did so because it was easy for me to do so, however, a personalized greeting can be hand-written or transferred from a inkjet or laser printout. Thank you sir great video helpful
Thanks Trev for good idea, I will try.
Can anyone build one or do u need approval from your townshii
Cheer~~~a person whose immediate superior is a senior figure within an organization and who is empowered to act as a substitute for this superior.(but this machine)😅
Couldn’t you just buy a yardstick(they are relatively cheap in price)to make the firs tool mentioned? Mahalo nui
Very high quality product sir
Great video! Would you share your plans?
I don't really have plans right now, just the model I drew up in Sketchup. As I mentioned in the video, I just put the pieces side by side and nibbled away until they fit the shape I desired. I'll work on some rudimentary plans and post to my website sometime in the future. Thanks!
Nice video and a nice build. I suggest you give a little bit more explanation of the decisions you made and choices you had, as well as why certain things were done in such a way. Be not just an inspiration, be an inspiration and a teacher.
Thanks for the idea!
Very nice...am going to build one of these this week...bought their plans. What does the tag above the door say. thanks for a fine video.
The tag on this one was a name tag from the organization which commissioned me to build this.
Amazing man
Can i ask how the water after it has been filtered travels up the pipe where it goes to the pond?
Water returns to pond based on gravity and basic water pressure principles. After it is pumped up into the filter it rises up in the filter and exits out the outfeed pipe.
Would this filter be big enough for a 6ftx3ftx3ft pond
great job! was worried for a bit since i missed u placing the ball in the maze before gluing it up/
Perfect !!!
Beautiful box! I think this is the best heart-shaped box on CZcams!
Thank you
Good job, love it👌🫶😁
How are u going to get it out that’s a lot to do

Need the schematics. Would love to make something like this myself.
I don’t have a plan available right now, I made it from a rough model I made after seeing a similar one on Instagram.
If it’s available on Amazon, I might buy one otherwise no way.
It’s hand made, not for sale on Amazon.
@@trevorsworkshop I figured as much because of the tolerances . There are many devices made to challenge the mind, but unless I can buy one on Amazon, because if it turns out to be crap, I want the ability to return it without any additional cost. I’m not claiming this thing is anything other than spectacularly made to great tolerances. I am speaking in general terms regarding other things that we see on CZcams that are wooden puzzles..
Heart shaped box!🔥
Built it , love it
i made one very similar to this and used it for years ,im about to make another one but it will have an openingwith a tap on the opposite side near the bottom so that when i give it an occasional hose out i can send it into a container rather than getting dirty . whenever i clean it out the garden gets the waste water and loves it .
Amigo una pregunta dónde puedo conseguir esa revista
Are you still making & posting videos?
How many millimeters are those Tin containers
charming!
Nice job, could you please share information relating the measurings of the beanch? Thanks in advance
I applaud the upcyclers, but life's too short to use pallet lumber. Between the lost time, nails, staples, rocks, and dirt, it's just not worth it.
To some extent I agree. I typically never use pallet wood for regular projects, however, this project was for a particular pallet wood up cycle challenge. Sometimes I do use pallet wood and other reclaimed wood when customers want distressed wood finishes. There is a difference between people who always upcycle wood normally and between doing it for a project where you have a paying customer. For paying customers you will always take into account the additional costs (both labor and consumables) when upcycling reclaimed lumber because there is no other way to get your source materials. I never waste my time on softwood pallets. Nevertheless, I do understand that for some people with limited resources, pallet wood is a free and sustainable resource.
Thank you Great video. Mounting the components side by side seems well balanced.
What keeps the router locked in position though?
Same as in John’s lift, there is a secondary locking rod behind the main lifting wheel that depresses another piece of wood into the side of the tray on which the router is mounted. You can see it briefly when the view switches to the right of the lift to show where I added a clean air vent to the router and where I removed and mounted the speed control from the router. It has a black knob.
Just one more worthless video. How could anyone figure out how big to make all the parts. Big wast of time like 99% of the puzzles box video's on CZcams. Put the damn plans on with the video.
Incredible work!
Excellent job Trevor. Thank you for sharing this project. I did click on the link to see the SketchUp model of your bench but it didn't work. I also went to your website and clicked on the details link but it didn't work either. Is there another way to access the bench details? I know this was put on CZcams 6 years ago but I'm just now seeing it for the first time. Thanks again.
Nice marking tool. If you plan to use it on 4x4 lumber, make sure you space the pins apart for the tool to go over the 4x4 to mark a center line. Im going to make me one of these, but picking out the proper hard dark wood around where I live is going to be a challenge. I always told my kids, if you make anything, be sure you use the best material that you can get so it will last generations an can passed down to your grandchildren. An be sure you add the date and your initials on it.
I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook czcams.com/users/postUgkxzXmlErSqVAEGWFEKO530BvTqFDw53QW3 and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my friend too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)
The music is great Your work greatest ❤
thank you
Thanks for the Sketchup model! The bench looks fantastic.

I wanted to see if specific parts and pumps for was on your website. But when I click the link on your website for the pond filter I get an critical error message. 😢
Beautifully crafted. Great to hear a familiar accent too. All the best!

Me gusta mucho el trabajo de los puzzles de hierro.pon algo guapo por favor.

Now thats nice ;) Spot on with the smoothness and precision
Looks great! I started using transfer paper to trace the designs onto the wood. Saved a lot of time trying to cut everything out with scissors or glueing the template to the wood.
