On holiday from Australia one of my oldest friends, along with his good wife, visited my home. We are both ex members of various bands and shortly after they arrived he picked up one of my guitars and played this ditty he had written whilst walking up the drive & looking around. As I recorded him singing it had a vocal track so though it should be put together as a memento. Recorded with. www.a...

At 275feet (84m) the world's tallest "Folly" built by John Edward Wainhouse as a chimney for his dye house but never used as such. Following a long standing feud with his neighbour, Sir Henry Edwards, it became a way to spy over his land, the real purpose. The Golden age
What a beautiful lady ❤and singer Bernie was but we still have film and all the wonderful songs rest in peace dernie 😊😊
I watched Frank Worthington at Filbert Street many a time. He remains in my mind the best forward player I have seen. Liverpool's loss was our gain. R I.P Frank 💙🏐💙
I was there wi me day 8 years old
Quite sad to watch this. So many lost to dementia. Others before their time.
Wow - what a piece of history, and very personal to me. I moved to New Cross Street in 1960, so I will have walked past that black Jowett. And yes, I remember the doctors Dr George Taylor and Dr Cole and their surgery at the back of the house. The garden WAS amazing in those days. I lived one street up from Woodroyd Road, which was Murgatroyd Street and remember to this day the noise of the weaving looms of the New Cross Street weaving shed. I remember when the shed and the offices along with the houses close by all being demolished. Was it Halidays? I don’t remember trams on Gaythorne Road but do remember the street light poles which held the electric cables for the trams, and they were there right through the 70’s. Thanks for sharing this video for all to see.
Wautsi !
2024, still watching and enjoying the power and talent of these ladies. 30 years since this performance!
The modern day George Best.... swashbuckling/subtle one touch player... ahead of his time
Lovely
Beautiful in every way ❤️🌹❤️
These lads did it on all surfaces, notice snow and ice and pitches hacked up ,much easier on bowling green surfaces like today .
Alan ball ,blackpool fc and England 🏴🏆
我愛你們❤,我來自台灣❤
There will never be another an absolute joy to watch what a player
I feel total eclips of my heart about these singing girls.
I was there as a Burnley fan. Frank was right: I enjoyed it, despite the 2-3 setback. Good to hear Frank was a Burnley fan. RIP, Frank Worthington.
Mel she's something else so natural
err,.. what offside rule did they play back in those days?
Non stop fun all the times with Johnnie.
I love the BGM more than the video😀
Brilliant at brum
I do recall watching this as a child on a Friday eve with my parents. The two things I recall is a 'booth' the contests had to sit in and an assistant called Monica Rose who was a cheeky lady but such fun. Great TV back then.
I was on that game,it really was a cracker. I was disappointed but I got used to it over the next 40 years!
This particular clip is from a one off, spin off from the main show.. "National Knowledge Contest" Started off as a competition in the TV Times, and winners went to their local TV franchise and competed against each other, then represented their franchise in the semi finals.. Winners of that went to Disneyworld in Florida... after another round, the finalists went to Montego Bay in Jamaica.. With the final pairs of "Captains and mates" digging on the beach for "buried treasure" My late father was one of the finalists, and won a luxury cruise. Back then, there was no way of recording live TV.. and I doubt it will ever be seen again.. in fact I have never seen any other clip than this one, and I reckon it will have been destroyed by now. I did go on the cruise with Dad... which is only fair, as I filled in the competition and put his name down... and got my mum to send it off.... all without telling my dad... he wasn't amused when he had to go to YTV... but in the end, he did great.
🎶🎶Oh Frankie Frankie!!....🎶🎶Remember the chant well!
What a bloody player! That team was superb, my first memories of Town. Never forgotten Frankie! UTFT
Thank you for posting this. ❤
Lovely interview with Frank, didn't know he supported Burnley as a kid. R.I.P.. Frank " Up the Clarets"
I didn't know that either. I wish he'd played for us. UTC
Looks so different from above
Nolans must be THE most under rared singers ever!. I always loved them as a youngster, mainly cos i fancied Bernie and Maureen ☺️. But now listening to them i hearing the voices!! ...mind blown
They were her backing singers
SHINE west bowling (Charity) are looking to raise fund for more winter support for the community. Could we use a short bit of this video footage when asking for donations?
Good luck I'd course you may. I have T4 cancer so won't around so long but my wife is keeping the site going.
@@britainhadtalent6057 Bless you, thank you. Love and prayers for you and yours.
Worthington was a childhood Burnley supporter.
I remember like it was yesterday. But it was 50 years ago!
Pardon me, little frog in the throat there.
The 3 sleeved jacket tickled me very nuch
Thanks for sharing this. I'm finding more out about my family and the area they use to live in. I don't know anything about them and have no photos of my great grandad and his father
I tell you what, the Coates disallowed goal should have stood...!!! Clearly onside!
As was Hoy's disallowed one.
VAR! VAR!
02:20 Born in Halifax, not Huddersfield.
It said his career was born in huddersfield, not him
I went to that match. Good memories Frank. RIP. UTT.
What a great clip, my first away game was Huddersfield in the same season, we won 0-1 with a Colin Waldron goal, Frank Wortington was a great player, the goal he scored for Bolton against Ipswich was an act of pure genius
Bobby Hoy gave me the clip and asked I uploaded it.
Ahhhh frankie sounds and looks the best as always 💙
Brilliant 💙 Thank you for uploading. I have never seen this footage of my dad or this interview. So lovely to see him well and hear his voice again 💙⚽️
Hi 👋 thats your dad cool hi from Ireland I’ve just been YouTubing him ✌️
That’s funny I just seen you on two different videos the first i didn’t realise he was your dad
Good on you Kim, your dad was a great lad, remember standing outside Leeds Road, Huddersfield waiting for him to turn up for games, he would always sign autographs, give kids like me tickets to get into the game, never forgotton, great man
He's my dad too.
Hi I was wondering if you had any other footage of the band featured in this clip. The singer featured is my late grandfather missing him this fathers day.
If only TV could give us what we used to enjoy so Much. Comedy variety shows with great talk show hosts like this and comedians. Talented funny great report between them. I still laugh at these jokes. Right Now the World needs all the humour it Can get.
Great laugh watching this.
I swear all old school northern comedians wore those suits in the '90s, probably still do.
I just love the double 7 double 7 joke 😂
This guy is sensational. What a comedian. Had he been around when Max Miller was alive he would have given him a run for his money. They have just announced Michael Macintyre is coming to my theatre. Wake me up when he's gone!!!!!
So true!
