You can replace them without taking the axle out from Wright the car it’s not that difficult it’s actually pretty easy the passenger side you don’t even have to take the brake line off but you can do it the way that you feel the most comfortable doing it

too bad you started the video after the job was done .. if its in the car can you not just lean into it with a small impact gun and after the sroing compresses the thread will catch and press it in ? or is there some special factory procedure to make sure you dont damage the new sel ?

What size is that bolt you used to set the flange back in? Thred pitch?

Do you have any issues with the horn fuse burning out? The duel horn setup is drawing a lot more current than the single. I want to replace my single horn on my 2014 Kia Soul with these same FIAMM Freeway Blasters, but I don't feel like adding an extra relay and wiring to the fuse box. Thanks.

What kind of vw gearbox is this? 2.0l engine? Is that job will be the same on b6 passat?

Dumb question: why not block off the pipe coming from the exhaust and then install an air filter on the EGR side? That way the EGR can open, draw in air and the ECU has no problems because it doesn't know the air being drawn in is filtered fresh air.

Can this be done without removing the gearbox

My mk4 is left hand drive! On the passenger side where the bolt threads in, there is nothing anymore! Just a rod, without any hole with threads! So when I try to compress the flange and try to bolt it in there's nothing for it to bolt in to! Where can I find blue prints of the transmission to find out what happened and how to fix it? Please and thank you.

I just added one of these to my car as well. No issues with hoses, but the alignment of the belt is important. If it's not right, it rubs somewhere and something "eats" one side of the belt. I've found too that when under power, it's "squeaky" but will quiet down at idle. The belt itself isn't squealing or loose though. But everything runs as it should. I had my AC pulley give out during a cross country trip from Ontario to BC via the USA. Fortunately, the shop I was dealing with was happy to put the AC bypass in. Saved me hundreds. Any suggestions on squeakiness of the pulley? Better bearing maybe? 🤷🏼‍♂️

How much does these last? I had to change those a year ago because they broke and my gearbox was runined, got a new one and it just started acting up the same way again and I fear it's the seals again

i have problem with this. when i start a car the vacuum is being applied to the valve so it closes and the car stals. the vacuum must be applied only on car shutdown, but it applies constantly, because the car starts when the vac hose is being removed and there is vacume in the line. as soon i reconnect the line, the ASV closes and car stalls
