I managed to catch Maiden years later and they were awesome. Dickinson did an epic rendition of phantom of the opera. Just don’t see metal like this anymore.

C'est très surprenant que les groupes de metal aient été oubliés par la presse musicale anglaise lors du renouvèlement de la scène po-rock de la fin 70 (j'ai vu un excellent documentaire français sur le sujet). Bruce Dickinson est aussi très bon.

This was the NWOBHM which was all that rough and authentic, a mix of punk and hard rock to be played live in small clubs if not on the road. I was exactly, just sixteen running free in London, as a summer visitor remember all that...the business ruined everything, 1st mistake getting rid of Stratton, he took the Wishbone Ash guitar harmonization, then Di Anno and finally Burr, the roots were lost.

Paul DiAnno was amazing. I am sure that if he could go to those days he would do everything to stay i Iron Maiden. I love the first two albums, only The Number of the beast can match them. I love Bruce, but Paul is the voice of Iron
