    Had similar with sump on a pre owned twin cam. Plumbers tape. I made a new sump plug at 13.1mm 20tpi plug from EN8 with a couple extra threads and made an oversized 13.2mm 20 tpi tap. The previous garage had re used a damaged 10x2mm O ring and over torqued to try to stop it leaking. Just use a new O ring and torque to 14ft lbs rather than strip it out like boss. If it leaks get a new O ring.

    Excellent, no nonsense video. And you didn’t even wear those gay little black latex gloves. 👍👍 With ramps it is easy to drive off ramps. I place my ramps in front of the tire and then measure from center of tire up to the spot where I want tire to stop on top of ramp. Then I take a wheel chock, push it up to front side of rear wheel on drivers side. Then with tape measure I move the chock forward the amount that I measured at ramp previously. Then drive car up ramp till rear wheel hits chock. One man job.

    Aren't the "O" rings suppose to be flush inside the shaft housing on each side, not sticking out? The length of the 2 bushings next to each other is less than the entire shaft housing length. That less length is equal to the width of the 2 "O"rings. I feel that the improvished tool will only get the bushings flush with the ends of the shifter shaft housing. There will be a gap inside the shifter shaft housing between the 2 bushings equal to the combined width of the 2 "O"rings. The bushings need to be inserted into the shifter shaft housing deep enough to accommodate the width of the 2 "O" rings on each side of the combined bushings. The "O"rings should be inside the shaft housing not on the outside. The "O" rings are there to keep moisture out. The only way I see to get the gap in the engine block end of the shaft housing is to put the bushings in from the other end. USE A 1/4 INCH DRIVE 11mm SOCKET and small extension and small hammer. Tap lightly and stop inserting when the engine block end of the shaft housing has enough room to insert the "O"ring flush with the shaft housing. The shift lever should not rest against the "O" ring, it should be flush with the shifter shaft housing. If you put the"O" rings on the bolt tool as you insert the bushings the "O" rings will probably collapse. Before taking out the old bushings see if that end gap is there on both sides of the shaft housing when you take the old "O"rings out. The gap is there.

    Good review. I wouldn’t trust the gauge on any compressor, especially with a long hose. Buy a good gauge for more accuracy, they are only $10 - $20. I’m looking to get one of the newer versions of this. How long did it last?

  • @dandyfunhouse
    @dandyfunhouse Před 8 měsíci

    I have owned these for about 3 months. I have found them to be accurate and a great way to get this vital information continually (I drive 250 miles per day) WHEN THEY WORK CORRECTLY! Unfortunately I have had 2 of the rubber seals stay stuck in the valve stem (dig out and reseat), two of them freak out and give false alarms after rainy periods and weather temperature swings and I just had one stop reading completely. Took it off, opened up and reseated the battery and blew out to rid any moisture. Not only did that not work, but this morning when I put it back on, 2 more sensors had stopped communicating completely. Maybe it's the batteries? I don't know, but if I can't solve, I will be contacting the company for a refund.

    DO NOT PUT THESE ON! I purchased and put these on my vehicle and 6 months later when I needed to add air to the tire they WILL NOT COME OFF! They are corroded on and I had to replace a valve stem that cost me more then replacing the stupid batteries in the vehicles OEM TPMS system.

    • @dandyfunhouse

      It is extremely common issue, have used these for years and learned the hard way with same problem it is called galvanic corrosion and you CANNOT get them off..You MUST smear copper grease onto the tyre valve stem prior to attaching the locking nut and tpms valve in order to prevent this occurring. Also check/unscrew the tpms valve every month or so to keep a check on them..😊😊
